Description
Hi 👋 I am looking for a lodger for a double room in my 3 bedroom house. I am looking to live with only one other person, so there will be two of us in the house in total. *Please note the minimum age requirement is 30yo.
Located in a quiet street running alongside Shooters Hill, the house has a beautiful garden at the back, and a driveway for two cars at the front.
The bedroom is a modern double room with a built in wardrobe and a window facing the street. There’s a double bed with memory foam mattress and a set of drawers from Habitat. The room has recently been redecorated and has new laminate flooring.
The house itself is fairly spacious and is furnished to a very good standard. I am slowly getting some decorating done to modernise it when I can. There is one bathroom and a separate loo.
Location wise - a 15 min walk from
Blackheath village, the house is set in a fairly quiet part of Greenwich.
Kidbrooke train station is about a 10 minute walk away, with frequent trains to London Bridge, Charing Cross and Victoria, all via Lewisham for DLR. North Greenwich (for Jubilee line) is a 10 min bus ride away.
For food shopping, there are M&S food hall, Aldi and Coop nearby; also many supermarkets, IKEA, Lidl, Homesense/TaK Maxx, Odeon etc. a 10 min bus ride from here.
Please note I have an 8yo Golden Retriever so you must be a dog lover (or at least not mind an affectionate big puppy greeting you at home every time).
I clean the house thoroughly daily, so there's no concern about the cleanliness - I would hope however for joint effort at keeping the bathroom, kitchen and any shared areas clean without the need to regularly discuss the who/when.
I am an open minded, easygoing introvert with aversion for drama. Not easily offended, I love a good chat and a laugh, but also appreciate peace and quiet at the end of a long work day. I respect people's personal space and possessions, and expect the same in return.
A considerate, clean, laid-back person with a positive attitude would probably feel most at home here. Preferably in full-time employment.
I understand that we all can have guests occasionally, but the room is for one person only. No couples, party people, or overnight guests - unless otherwise agreed. References preferred.
I am self-employed and work with dogs, who visit my house daily during the working hours; they are limited to an area downstairs and the garden.
I love nature and enjoy walks with my dog, a good book or TV series, yoga, road trips, seeing friends, keeping active and travelling at any opportunity.
