Description

Hi, I'm Becky and I own a lovely 2 bed house in Blackheath/Kidbrooke in SE London. I had a great flatmate called Sophie living with me but she's moving to a different part of London to live with her sister and so the room is vacant from 17th May 2015.
I own the property and have lived here nearly 9 years. It's a quiet and friendly cul-de-sac on a residential estate where we know all our neighbours. *sing Neighbours theme tune here*

The room for rent is at the back of the house and fully furnished as shown in the photo. It has a double bed, wooden wardrobe, wooden chest of drawers and a shelving unit. It also has a couple of mirrors, lamps, curtains, lampshade etc. All the big stuff has to stay but the small stuff can be moved.

The carpets were all recently replaced and there is brand new (very warm!) double glazing throughout. The bedroom overlooks a 60ft garden and is peaceful and quiet to sleep in (the room, not the garden....) We have a decked area of the garden that you can eat outdoors in in the summer. I have the front bedroom and there is a separate bathroom and loo. Downstairs there is a living room and kitchen. The kitchen has a washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, all normal stuff that you'd need, as well as lots of tea making facilities, I like drinking tea ;)
The house is decorated in neutral colours throughout, but there are splashes of colour everywhere. The kitchen was decorated last year and is in the first picture :)

I am a musician, and I run my own business, a music academy for kids, I do my admin from home, but none of my teaching. I have a piano and a cat so would want someone who likes both music and animals. My cat is a big, fluffy, affectionate Siberian Winter Cat and he makes this house a home!

Sorry, but no tenants on benefits, being able to pay your rent is a must.

I have a large group of friends and enjoy socialising but there aren't loads of parties.

I'm quite easy going and happy to cook together when we see each other and I love making cakes, be warned! I enjoy my own company, but I also enjoy the company of having someone in the house. Watching TV is so much nicer with friends! My job means I am out a couple of nights a week so you would have some of your own space. I like a fairly clean and tidy house but don't worry, I'm not Monica standard! If you know who Monica is, that's a good sign. We are fans of Friends and The Big Bang Theory in this house, but fans of other TV show may also apply ;0)

The basic rent is £450 a month, with everything else included it works out at about £620. This includes; cleaner for 2 hours a week, gas, electricity, council tax, broadband, water, TV license, window cleaner etc and I pay for basic sharing stuff like milk, tea, coffee, loo roll etc. The deposit is £500.

Kidbrooke is a 17 min walk away and Blackheath is a 10 min cycle or bus ride. There is corner shop, Doctors Surgery and offie 2 mins walk away and a Co-Op and Post Office 7 mins walk away.

LGBT friendly.
