A lovely double in Ladywell

If you're looking for a chilled place to settle down and lock in for a couple of years during this wild renters market, then boy oh boy do I have the place for you.

This nice sized double in a two bed, one bathroom flat will be available at the end of August, as my flatmate is moving in with her partner. That leaves me and my cat Aster in need of a new roomie. Needless to say, liking the company of cats is required.

The flat is unfurnished, though the living room has a sofa, TV, coffee table etc that will be staying put. It's a fairly petite flat, but the walls aren't paper thin and the living area is a nice size. I've included pictures from an original listing at the moment, just because it's currently a little chaotic with packing having already commenced. There's a little balcony that I intend to catproof, and has a lovely view out over Lewisham. We're also about a 15 minute walk away from Lewisham Station/DLR if you want the sweet discount of travelling from Zone 2.

Council Tax is band C, monthly bills come to about 188.5 a month (council tax, energy, water, internet). I'm signed on to stay at this property until November 2026, so would quite like to have someone else who just wants to secure somewhere and not have to think about the horrors of moving for a good long while. The rent is set to increase by £50 per year (so rising to £900 in November), which is unfortunate, but that's renting in London for you.

About me, I'm Maria, I work at an opticians and am a generally peaceful homebody who likes hanging out with her cat. It's important to me to find someone who'll enjoy and respect the space with me, isn't going to be rowdy, just because I'm happily boring and when I'm home from work, I like to recharge and chill.

Final bits: LGBT+ friendly, I'm not strictly a vegetarian but actively trying to reduce my meat/fish intake and cook with them very rarely, if that's something that would bother you.

Then we have the feline: Aster is a bit of a scardey cat who generally spends a lot of her time shadowing me around when I'm at home, but is overall very sweet and affectionate if you give her some time to get used to you. She's very much my responsibility, and aside from maybe feeding her on the rare occasion that I might be out a little later than normal, you won't be expected to do any regular cat care.
