Description
3 rooms for price of 1 in quiet, spacious house. Share with 47y/o prof female + landlady (1-2 days p/w). 6 month let (poss longer).
Hi I’m Nicki and I’m looking for someone to share my home with myself (occasionally) and my lovely housemate. You’ll get a double bedroom, another double room (currently used as an office) and your own separate bathroom. You’ll also share the spacious open plan kitchen / lounge / diner. The 30-metre-long garden attracts lots of birds and is a rare quiet haven in London!
The bedroom is fully-furnished and the second room is semi-furnished at the moment (the desk / 2 chairs belong to my current tenant). I’m happy to add a desk / adapt the furniture in the second room, within reason, to your requirements.
The rent is inclusive of all bills and there’s fast broadband and a fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons including a huge fridge, freezer, dishwasher and plenty of storage space etc.
On-street parking is available (permit required), or there’s free parking in the next road. If you have a bike there’s plenty of space to store it in the garden.
The house is well located in terms of transport: Ladywell Station is a 6 minute walk away with trains to London Bridge (9 mins), Waterloo (15 mins), Charing Cross (19 mins) & Cannon Street). Crofton Park is a 10 minute walk and is on the Thameslink route with trains to Blackfriars (21 mins) and Victoria. Brockley, Honor Oak and Lewisham stations are all a 22 minute walk – so you can easily access the Overground line with trains to Canada Water / Shoreditch High Street and the Docklands Light Railway.
The neighbours are nice and the neighbourhood is peaceful. Ladywell village is a 5 minute walk away and has a couple of coffee shops, a lovely pub, a mama dough pizza restaurant, independent shops and a small Sainsbury. Crofton Park, Brockley and Lewisham are also within easy reach.
There’s loads of green space around. Ladywell fields, Hilly fields and Brockley & Ladywell cemetery are a 3, 6 and 7 minute walk away respectively. There’s also a Better Gym / Pool in Lewisham (19 min walk or a 6 minute cycle).
My housemate and I have shared the space for many years and are open to someone who keeps themselves to themselves or who wants to be a bit more sociable. The important thing is that we communicate well, keep the communal areas tidy and are respectful.
A bit about us... I’m quite sociable, musical and love the outdoors. I mostly live away with my partner, however both myself and my (female) partner are studying to be counsellors in London. One or both of us will be staying in the house around 1-2 nights a week. When I am in London I have occasional band practice at home (in the office at the bottom of the garden, so not noisy). My housemate is a civil servant who mostly works from home (she has her own office).
We’d like an open minded, left-leaning housemate. We are both mainly vegetarian and would love someone who is vegetarian, but we can be flexible.
The room(s) are officially available from 1st November and will be available for a minimum of 6 months. It may be possible to extend, but is not guaranteed.
Please note I am looking for a single person, not a couple.
If you're tidy and considerate and want a quiet, clean place to stay with nice people and where there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor space please get in touch! And please tell me a bit about yourself 😊
Thanks
Nicki
