We’re looking for a sociable, clean, and tidy new housemate to join our lovely shared home in Ladywell!
🛏️ The Room and house:
• The room is a bright and airy large double room on the middle floor of a 3 storey house overlooking the street.
• It is furnished with an ottoman bed, wall shelving, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There is plenty of room to fit a desk if you work from home
• The house has spacious communal areas, including an open plan kitchen, dining room and living room– perfect for relaxing, cooking together or hosting friends
• Enormous, sunny garden which is pre-equipped with a BBQs and plant selection!
• There are three bathrooms in the house (two with showers and one with a bath), so you’ll only share with two other people.
📍 Location:
• The house is on a quiet, tree-lined street just off from Ladywell Road, which has a selection of independent shops, coffee shops, restaurants and (most importantly!) a pub.
• It’s close to lots of green spaces, including Hilly Fields, Ladywell Fields and Blythe Hill.
• Brockley Road is about 10 minutes walk away, with even more bars, restaurants, pubs and shops.
• Lewisham and Catford Town centres are a 15-20 minutes walk away, with the usual high street shops and supermarkets
🚇 Transport:
• 5-minute walk to Ladywell Station – with direct trains into London Bridge (10 mins), Waterloo (15 mins) and Charing Cross (20 mins)
• 15-minute walk to Crofton Park Station on the Thameslink line with direct trains into Blackfriars
• Under 20-minute walk to Brockley Overground Station, giving you easy access to Canada Water, Shoreditch and more
• Under 20-minute walk to Lewisham Station, which has quick trains to London Cannon Street. Lewisham also has the DLR to Bank, Canary Wharf and East London
• Frequent buses across South London, including to Dulwich, Brixton, Crystal Palace and Lewisham
👯 The Housemates: You’ll be living with 4 friendly professionals – 3 girls and 1 guy. We enjoy spending time together cooking, heading to the local pub, and the occasional day out. We’re a sociable bunch but also respectful of each other’s space. We are all genuine friends and not just housemates so would be looking for the same.
We love to eat together and catch up in the evening, currently we all pick one night each to cook for everyone which we all really enjoy! It’s not mandatory to be involved in this but we’d love someone who also enjoys the communal side of things.
- Elena is a sporty girl in her late 20s who works in an art gallery. She likes late dinners, long showers and Diet Pepsi by Addison Rae.
- Max is a guy in his mid 20s, working remotely for an insurance firm. He likes a night out, looking atter cute dogs, putting an entire bag of chicken nuggets in the airfryer, peaking at the end of the night, and has a newfound passion for salsa music.
- Ella is in her late 20s, working at a youth charity. She loves being outdoors, reading, looking after our garden, luring the neighbourhood cats over, and baking great cakes for all of us.
- Kate is a girl in her early 20s, the youngest of the house but a grandma at heart. She has recently entered the scary world of 9-5 as an engineer (that rarely works 9-5). She likes trying new things, being outdoors, pub nights with live music and chatting in the kitchen
There is also another room that we are looking to fill in the home so in total will be 6 housemates.
🗓️ Availability & contract:
• Available from the 25th January, but I can be flexible if you’d like to move in earlier
• The contract is currently until mid-August 2026. It will be rolling afterwards and there is possibilities to stay beyond then
• Bills are excluded, and come to roughly £85 per month (slightly higher in the winter, and lower in the summer). This covers all essentials such as utilities and WiFi
• Our house is managed through an estate agents, but the landlord is local and super responsive to any issues
