Large Double in Lovely Ladywell House Share

We’re Francesca and Josh, wellness practitioners and artists who have lived in our lovely home for 2 years. We came in as housemates and have become friends. Our other lovely house mate is leaving so we need to find someone to move in for 8th September.

Our house is not just a house share, its our home that we have put love into painting, decorating, furnishing and nurturing. It’s a calm sanctuary we come back to in the craziness of London to restore and recharge. We feel so fortunate to live here. 

We have direct communication with our Landlord with whom we have a great relationship. They are very responsive and supportive. We really appreciate them and they appreciate us for taking care of their house. Just to give you an idea of how things flow with house maintenance stuff, we generally will manage maintenance issues with contractors between us with the landlords consent and then they obviously cover the cost.

The House:
The house is on a residential street. There is an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower room both with toilets and we have a lovely big kitchen. We have a beautiful living room that we occasionally work in as well as a studio room that we share use of too. We are so lucky to have a patio’d garden with a couple of established beds in that we grow veggies and flowers in. We are 6 minutes walk to Ladywell Station and shops.

The Room:
The room is very spacious and comes unfurnished but our housemate can leave the bed frame if so desired and a cabinet of drawers.

Culture and Cleanliness of the house:
We like to stay in connection on each other’s lives and enjoy cooking and eating together from time to time. We are also conscious of respecting each other’s boundaries and space. Some of us are light sleepers and so we try to respect that with being quiet early in the morning and late in the evening. We keep a really clean house. We deep clean the communal spaces like the kitchen, bathrooms and hallway/stairs every two weeks and keep on top of all these communal spaces weekly. We all share responsibility for things like internet, council tax, bills etc. We are not a party house and enjoy a peaceful space, but we are also musicians who sometimes practice or write and occasionally make some noise, but try our best to manage everyone’s needs for peace and quiet. We are in our mid 30s and early 40s and looking for someone of a similar age.

Us:
Francesca works mostly from home online as an embodiment/movement teacher and self expression mentor for women. Francesca is a Scottish Sicilian musician and has interests in integrative health and wellbeing, gardening and dance.

Josh works as an energy healer and body worker and is interested in alternative health. He manages a community sauna in Peckham part time. Josh is a musician and writes and performs songs. he loves gardening and growing veggies and is interested in permaculture and regenerative systems.

You:
We are looking for a friendly, clean, kind and considerate professional person aged 30-50 to live with us who would enjoy contributing to our lovely home. We are looking for someone who is of like-mind and looking for a long-term let looking to settle for a bit. Someone who works out of the house all or part of the week is preferred.

Rent:
£780 plus bills (around £120-£150 a month). Council tax band D

Move in date:
8th September
