I'm moving out of my room in the spacious house I have called home over the last 1 1/2 years. I am leaving to move in with my partner but I am going to miss the people and the house dearly!
I am looking for someone to take the room from August 20th, which is the end of my contract date, but I can leave earlier if needed.
The property is split over three floors, with the kitchen, living room and a toilet on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on each of the 1st and 2nd floors.
The room for rent is a large double room on the middle floor at the back of the house. The property is located on a main road, however being positioned at the back it is a quiet room that gets plenty of light and looks out over the south facing garden. There's tons of storage in the room and throughout the property - with deep built-in storage spaces around the house. The room comes with the majority of the furnishings (hanging closet, large three door wardrobe, desk, black desk chair, bed). The room has a desk and chair perfect for a working from home setup. It has a fully furnished and equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom with a new boiler, refrigerator and oven.
The building is in a great location, 5 mins walk from Oval station and 15 minutes from Vauxhall. It's also very close to bus stops on the 185, 36, 436, 159, 59, 133, 3, 333, and 155 bus routes, so the transport links are excellent.
The housemates are three young professionals (working in the civil service and politics), who are all clean and tidy. It is a friendly and relaxed house, enjoying a mix of socialising together while respecting each others space. We often cook, have a drink or watch TV together and have enjoyed exploring London as a group. They are looking for someone who wants to spend time together and make this their home, not just a place to stay. I’ve made lifelong friends here and hope to find someone who will enjoy this house I way I have.
Costs: 675pcm for the room, with £7 for broadband and £42 for council tax per month. Bills are on a top-up card - approx £20 per month for gas and electric per person.
