Description
1 large double room (for single person) to rent in stunning Victorian conversion in fantastic location in zone 1.
The room is double (for single person) is at the back of the house overlooking gardens. It is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe,, bed-side table, and chest of drawers; there is a basin in the room. The flat is arranged over 2 floors, and comprises a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. The living room is light and airy, and has a vaulted roof with Velux windows, with double doors leading to a small balcony.
You would be sharing with two LSE students (one guy, one girl) going into our final year in September, studying economics and maths. Our friend is heading abroad for the year, and since we really like the flat, we’re looking for someone friendly and tidy to move in.
The flat’s in a great spot - walking distance to LSE, KCL, UAL and more - with plenty of shops, cafés and green spaces nearby. The street is residential and it always feels like a very safe and quiet area. The landlord’s also been helpful and easy to deal with.
We’re good friends who met at uni, and the atmosphere in the flat is relaxed and respectful. We’re usually busy with work during the week, but we like to socialise together and with friends too. Looking for another student or young professional who’s easygoing, considerate, and happy to keep shared spaces clean.
We’re happy to meet for a chat, answer any questions, and show you around the flat to see if it feels like the right fit. We’re planning to stay until we finish our studies next summer, so ideally looking for someone who’s also up for staying around a year
The flat is in a great location: on a quiet residential street behind the Imperial War Museum with excellent transport links. There is a Santander bike dock just 1 minute walk away. Lambeth North tube (Bakerloo line) is just 4 mins walk away, 12 minute walk to Waterloo (Jubilee & Northern lines, 15 minute walk to Westminster (Jubilee, District, & Circle lines), and 10 minute walk to Elephant & Castle (Northern line, City branch), so it is easy & quick to get anywhere in London. There are numerous buses to the City and West End.
The area is also great: the flat is opposite the Imperial War Museum, with its lovely park. There are many good bars & restaurants close by. South Bank, The Cut, Kennington Cross etc. are 15 minute walk, or 5 minute cycle away. It's a 10 minute walk to Elephant and Castle: one of the biggest regeneration areas in London at the moment, where there are loads of restaurants, & pop up bars etc.
The flat has gas central heating, dishwasher, and washing machine. Parking (with residents' permit) is available on the street, and it is just inside the congestion-charging zone, so a car would be eligible for the 90% residents' discount.
The room is available from 11 July 2020. No bills are included in the rent.
