Looking for a new housemate (and friend)!
Move in date 1st Feb - Leyton - 3 bed, 2 bath
Rent: £825 (+ ~£100 for bills)
Deposit: £1000 (not 950 as per ad)
About the flat:
We live in a cosy 3-bedroom penthouse suite in Rookery Court with stunning views of the London skyline. The flat has a concierge, is fully accessible, and includes a lift from the carpark to our floor. There’s also a free parking space in the basement that’s currently unused—so bonus points if you drive!
The flat has a spacious hallway with the bedrooms on one side and the living area and bathroom on the other. The main bathroom (which would be shared between you and Mara) has a bath, an overhead shower, and maybe one too many candles! The back of the flat overlooks a quiet shared garden. Please note there’s currently scaffolding at the back of the flat.
Our open-plan kitchen and living room gets loads of natural light, and we love spending time there. The ceiling to floor windows look out over the (currently very green!) Olympic Park and Hackney Marshes. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need—utensils, crockery, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine—you name it. We like to keep the communal areas clean and tidy, and we request this of you too.
Location-wise we’re in a great spot: just 8 minutes’ walk to Leyton Station (central line), 20 minutes to Hackney Marshes and the Olympic Park, and surrounded by supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, and great coffee spots.
The Room:
A bright and cosy double room overlooking the communal green space. Available from 1st Feb.
Bills:
Around £100/month each, covering electric, water, council tax and Wi-Fi.
About You:
We’re looking for a friendly, communicative flatmate who’s lived in shared spaces before. Someone who’s sociable and up for the occasional dinner party or bake off, but also values space and downtime. We’d love someone who’s clean and considerate in shared areas and ideally doesn’t work from home full-time.
About us:
We enjoy a watching tv in the lounge some nights in the week and we do hang out outside of the flat now and again. We’re both queer and left-leaning! Mara is a massage therapist and I work in AI & Automation.
