Description
Hello lovely people!
Our beautiful Victorian 3 story house has 2 rooms currently going, we have had to wave our former two housemates goodbye as they move away!
Remaining is just two of us:
Alaa:
- Hi! I'm 25, a classic Brit but with Levantine roots, I am currently the solo lezza in this house so it would be lovely to have more queer folk join me! I work as a software developer for a charity that supports migrants, I love my cat and have a thrill for binging TV.
Akvile:
- Akvile is a fabulous 29 year old woman, and an international PhD student from Lithuania, working in colour naming theory (very exciting and niche), easy going, loves cats. She has a boyfriend who comes over for a couple of hours at a time, as I know some people have issues with people's partners staying days at a time, her partner rarely stays nights when he visits, and is very respectful of everyone's space - you will rarely bump into him in communal areas.
My cat:
- My gorgeous baby Ashta, aged 3 has been living with us, we have a beautiful large paved garden. He does not have a litter tray as he is trained to go outside for poop times, you will never smell any awful smells or deal with a housemate refusing to clean a cats litter tray. From time to time, I may visit my family or travel and I tend to ask my housemates to feed him during my absence (in agreement of course). He is SUPER friendly, always purring, and you would be more than welcome to steal him for all the cuddles you need.
The general house vibe that we practice and would like to maintain:
- We thrive in COMMUNITY. We share our pots, pans, cups, and cutlery together. We are not frugal with our belongings, we have a real relationship and tend to count on eachother. As we form friendships with eachother, we may use one another's things and just purchase the next batch or so for the next person. We love making cups of teas for each other, sitting and hanging out together, baking for eachother, wine nights.
- We don't want to be strangers in a house, and certainly no passive aggressiveness! We want to form friendships with our housemates, have similar ideas of what's a warm, kind and fruitful place to be home in. We love to watch tv shows together, (currently the traitors), love to get home and gossip and debrief about anything. We've had a few group motives that we've done with our old housemates, a little sit and smoke with wine and really getting deep and fun.
- CLEANLINESS. Very important, our current standard is cleaning dishes after use - we don't tend to leave them over consecutive days, and our sink and counters are always clear and clean. We have a cleaner who comes over once a month currently, otherwise we will all make an effort to clean after ourselves.
