Beautiful room in Leyton house

Looking for an someone to rent the room in my beautiful home, available starting August 2026 with flexibility to start a few weeks earlier.

My bestfriend and I have a beautiful family home together, shared with our Maincoon cat, Mycelium, who we co-parent. I'm leaving London to go travelling with my partner for a minimum of two years (but most likely longer). I'm looking for someone to rent my room, preferably long term, though start dates can be flexible.

My home is a three story, semi-detached house, with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a balcony and a yard. My room is on the top floor with an ensuite shower bathroom and a balcony. Having the full floor yourself allows for privacy and space.

We are a 7 minute walk from Leyton tube station (Central line), 12 minute walk from Leyton Midlands (overground) and a half hour walk from Stratford and Hackney Wick.

We are preferably looking for someone who is sex worker positive, and will be as obsessed with Mycelium as we are. My flatmate is sober and so a tee total household is preferred, but if not then someone who can respect the house not being a party household. It is a sociable house and we want someone who can make the space feel like a home whilst also respecting the effort which has gone into the house already. All the furniture has been given by family members who are no longer with us, so we would want a tenant who really wants to take care of the space. We can also have a conversation about removing some furniture if required, but ideally it comes fully furnished.

We currently pay £101 each for council tax and split incoming bills.
