Bright double room in shared house in Leyton

Relaxed living in East London with actual living room - this is my home and should be yours too…

A double bed in a light airy room close to local amenities including a 24hr corner shop, the Leyton Star (pub with a loyalty card!) and excellent transport links to Shoreditch and central London. The house is a 6 minute walk from Leyton station (Central line), the next stop from Stratford and next to the Olympic Park with green space and canals.

The house is a two bed Georgian worker’s cottage (terrace house, not enormous but with a garden) in Leyton. Both bedrooms are upstairs with downstairs bathroom (shared, bath/shower), living room (TV, Chromecast, Xbox, Sonos Stereo, dining room table), kitchen (gas hob/electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine) and a compact garden.

**More about your room and the house **
You get the larger, front room (main bedroom)… Your room comes with a double bed and good quality mattress, 2 large wardrobes and a bookcase. There is a desk and chair (although, these can be removed).
The décor is hipster chic and the shared bathroom is clean but not brand new; the bath is a vintage roll top with shower. I should point out the stairs are quite steep and doesn't have a handrail!
The house is friendly and open with character - any marks are a reflection of this, not of its cleanliness.
All bills and Fibre Broadband are included but a deposit is required.

**Transport and Links**
Excellent transport links to Shoreditch and central London. The nearest tube station is Leyton on the Central Line, it’s a 6 min walk. Stratford is 11 mins away (by tube/bus; and very walkable) and links with the Jubilee Line and via Stratford International, King's Cross St Pancras International only 25 mins. There’s space for a bike and parking out front though you’ll need to sort a permit or pay for those.
Two large supermarkets within walking distance, as are restaurants and amenities. The Olympic Park, Hackney Marshes and canal within easy reach

**About the area, and me**
There are a range of shops and takeaways within easy stroll, including the Leyton Star (pub). Leyton high street is about 10 mins The Olympic (Victoria) Park and Hackney Marshes are just outside of the Olympic Park (15 mins) with restaurants, bars, coffee and clubs by the canal (HereEast 25 mins, Hackney Wick). Stratford with a near Westfield (good for Waitrose and Sainsbury's) and cafes (12-15 mins) and Mother Kelly's (craft beer in all measures).
I have lived in London for about 15 years recently, and Leyton for the last few years. This is my home and should be yours too… I like to keep it clean and (mostly) tidy. I am fairly relaxed, work in sustainability (at home and in the office) and like to try and be healthy and enjoy cycling, skiing and outdoor stuff as well as the occasional late night Netflix binge and pub!

***Maximum stay is negotiable Council tax band is C (apparently this is important) however, is included in the rent.
