ABOUT THE SPACE

Secure gated development with a concierge, courtyard with fountain and sitting areas, bicycle storage space, recycling and food waste facilities.

Double bedroom with windows facing the courtyard. Very bright and airy. Windows face the sun in the morning & during the day. Curtains have blackout backing if you do not like the sunlight.

Furniture in the bedroom includes a double bed (with storage space underneath); a bedside drawer unit; a large wardrobe with hanging space, top shelf and drawers; a separate set of drawers with jewellery space and mirror; a full-length mirror; a desk (can be used as a dressing table); swivel desk chair; LED colour floor lamp; desk lamp; and wall bookshelves.

My bedroom is ensuite, so the main bathroom will be virtually exclusively for your use (bathtub, flexible shower, sink, toilet, towel rail, shelves for storage.) It is not entirely private, however, as it is located in the corridor and will be used by house guests.

Very large living room that is organised in two areas - TV & reading area with sofas; and a dining area with a fold-out table. My working area is also in the living room.

Large balcony terrace with a sunlounger, sofa and small table. There is a balcony above, so even when it rains there is a level of protection.

Separate kitchen with a large fridge-freezer, ceramic hob cooker, oven, microwave, nutribullet, pressure cooker/slow cooker, air fryer, coffee machine, dishwasher, washer-dryer.

ABOUT THE AREA

Shad Thames is a historic area located next to Tower Bridge on the south of the river. Many bars and restaurants nearby, a newly built theatre (Bridge Theatre), cinemas (Curzon Aldgate and Everyman Borough Yards), several gym options (inc Third Space) More Yoga studio, reformer pilates studio.

For food shopping we have Borough Market, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Co-Op, as well as a few smaller shops and markets. I have a delivery pass for Sainsbury's, and also order on Ocado - happy to share.

Bermondsey Street is a 9min walk away, and it has bars, restaurants, boutiques and coffee spots.

Southwark park is the closest large park, but there are many smaller green areas within 5min.

Nearest tube stations (all equal distance of about 10-15min walk) London Bridge, Tower Hill, Bermondsey. DLR access from Tower Hill (Tower Gateway). Good bus links (78, 47, 188, 381, 42 within 3min from the house and a lot more from London Bridge station). Walking distance to Bank, Shoreditch, Liverpool Street, Waterloo, short commute to Canary Wharf.

ABOUT ME:

I am originally from Russia, have been here for 30 years. I speak a little Spanish. Apart from Moscow and London, I've lived in New York and Barcelona. Fairly well-travelled, cultured, love trying new cuisines and learning about the world. I work in an art gallery. My main interests are art (Contemporary, Street & Graffiti), music (Future beats, Hip-Hop), reading (contemporary international fiction). I am usually quiet and like my personal space, but I do enjoy a chat / a movie night / a drink with the roomie when appropriate.

WHO I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE WITH:

Minimum 30 years old. Have experience living outside of your parents' house, and ideally have experience of sharing space with others.

Respectful and self-sufficient, but open to an occasional hang out / movie night etc.

I am looking for someone who works in an office / professional environment and leads a quieter lifestyle.
