Hello future flatmate!

Due to my existing flatmate relocating, I have a good-sized double room available to rent in vibrant Bermondsey. There are two double rooms and two bathrooms with a shared kitchen / living room space. The flat also comes with a communal roof terrace.

The kitchen comes fully stocked with a large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and microwave. The room you'll be renting comes furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, and a large chest of drawers. You'll effectively have you own bathroom too given my room comes with an en suite.

Bills are not included in the rent and have historically come to around £160 per month each, including wi-fi, gas/electricity, water, and Council Tax (Southwark Band E).

The flat itself is just a two minute walk from Bermondsey Street and all its great bars, pubs and restaurants, alongside being just a 10 minute walk from London Bridge Station with local bus routes closer.

As for me - I am the sole current occupant and work near London Bridge (got to love a short commute!). I've been in London for 10+ years now and generally keep quite busy with work (I'm an economist working in public policy), running, bouldering, reading, the occasional bit of TV, and attempting to perfect my coffee game! Love all things London and always on the look out for somewhere new to go.

I keep a clean flat, which is very important to me, and rarely entertain here. I generally work in the office five days a week. I'm looking for a professional and clean person who is happy being social whilst respecting each other's personal boundaries.

Please note: my strong preference is for a long-term tenant - the current tenancy agreement comes to an end on 8th August and I already have the landlord's agreement to extend for another 1-year (with a 5% uplift in rent compared with the current amount). I would be keen for a new tenant to enter into this new agreement with me.
