Description
Hey! One of our flatmates (Nick) is moving out of London, so we’re looking for someone to join our three-bed flat in Shad Thames. It’s a really lovely spot - quiet, a few minutes from the river, but still super close to everything. Especially in the summer, it’s honestly such a nice area to live in.
The flat’s spread across three levels, so there’s a good amount of space and privacy, and it’s somewhere that properly feels like a home.
About Us
You’ll be living with me (Alim, 27) and Gordon (26). We’re both chartered accountants working in tech.. We have different interests - he’s into golf, cooking, and the gym. I’m a big foodie, love travelling, and have some side hustles going alongside work.
We’ve built a really chilled, peaceful and homely vibe here - we like to hang out (dinners, restaurant trips, TV now and then), but also have our own lives and respect each other’s space. It’s super easygoing.
The Room / The Flat
The room’s on the lower ground floor, offered furnished, with plenty of natural light. The room itself is a great size double (comfortably fitting a double bed and desk) and has a wardrobe for storage. The rest of the bedrooms in the flat are split over three levels, so there’s loads of privacy. We have a big open-plan living area and fully equipped kitchen where we share all the usual bits. It includes a fridge, freezer, dishwasher etc. The flat has two bathrooms - you’ll mostly be sharing the downstairs bathroom with Alim.
Rent / Bills
- Rent is £920 per month
- Deposit is £1,077 + £410 contribution for your share of the furnishings, as the flat came unfurnished. This includes the sofa, TV stand, shoe cabinet, kitchen equipment, lamps, deco, bathroom and bedroom furnishings)
- Bills fluctuate but are around £180 per month (includes council tax Band F, internet, utilities, and a cleaner who comes fortnightly)
- Rent and bills are paid on the 10th of each month, so when you move in you’ll pay a pro-rated amount between move-in date and the 10th.
Our contract runs in April 2026, with the option to renew.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone to take over Nick’s tenancy on September 28.
Ideally, you’re friendly, easygoing and very tidy + clean. Someone who genuinely wants to treat the flat like a home. We’d love to live with someone who’s up for hanging out from time to time - dinner, a pub or restaurant trip, or a Sunday TV sesh.
