Introduction:
Hi, I'm Rushab, a 30-year-old consultant from London. My current flatmate is moving out of our modern 2-bedroom 2-bathroom flat in the London Bridge / Southwark area in mid-to-late-September. The flat and room being vacated are furnished.
About the flat:
The flat is very spacious and modern. It has 2 equal sized rooms, 2 bathrooms, a shared living room, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a balcony. The flat also has large floor-to-ceiling windows which let in plenty of light. I have attached a floor plan in the images.
There is also air conditioning in the living room, a gym in building, a 24-hour concierge service, a mail / package room, a rooftop terrace, a central open space / garden for residents, and a bin / recycling room. The flat is on the 5th floor (of 6) and can be accessed via elevators or the stairwell.
About the location:
The flat is located a 5 to 10-minute walk away from London Bridge and Borough underground stations, and it is very convenient to get around by bus, train, city bikes, or on foot. The flat is also 5 to 10 mins walk from a local high street with a lot of restaurants, bars, borough market, a park, and several supermarkets.
About the room:
The room is 17’11 x 9'6 (5.45m x 2.9m) and includes a bed, a desk and chair, bedside drawers, a full-length mirror, and a cupboard. There are large windows that overlooks the resident’s outdoor area; the windows also have motorised blackout blinds. There is plenty of storage in the room and under the bed with two large wooden boxes.
The bathroom is spacious, it has a bath / shower (with an electronic temp setting), a large vanity mirror with storage, and a heated towel rack (see attached pictures).
About me:
I am 30, I moved back to London last December after working in NYC for the past few years. I have been a renter in NYC and London over the past 5 years with friends and colleagues. I am both sociable and respectful, and as a roommate I am clean and tidy. I like playing sports and being active, so if you want someone to play tennis / padel with, the gym or anything outdoorsy - I am always very keen.
Depending on the week, it’s a mix between working from the office / WFH - though I tend to work relatively long hours so will mainly be at the flat late in the evenings and on the weekends.
About the rent / costs:
The rent is £1,625 per month. There is a £1,875 security deposit. The flat is in Southwark Council so it is in council tax band E. There are additional energy and WiFi bills. In total tax + bills have so far added up to ~£100-200 per month.
Move in:
My flatmate can be relatively flexible, but ideally wants to move out/ you move in sometime in mid September.
