Description
Newly refurbished double room 2 minutes walk from London city airport/dlr station, which is direct to either Woolwich or bank station, good links to Canning Town and central London. You can see the dlr station from the back garden.
Room has been refurbished by myself when I moved in and will include a double divan bed with mattress and a large mirror wardrobe.
This is a quiet household and in a quiet area, I’ve had no problems in the time I’ve been here with any residents. There’s a shop at the end of the street which sells pretty much anything and some good takeaways close by. There are a few pubs within walking distance too.
The bills are included in the rent, of which there is brilliant broadband, it’s really quick and often gets around 850mbps.
The house has a conservatory and a patio garden which is a decent size, I have used this with other tenants during the summer to sit outside and enjoy a drink. The conservatory has 2 sofas and a coffee table in, this is a communal area however it’s not often used.
There are two bathrooms, the downstairs one will be yours, however if you prefer a bath this is in the one upstairs. The shower has good pressure and is always hot.
It’s very close to the airport and this isn’t exactly a problem, the planes typically fly from 7am to 10pm ish. You don’t really notice them truthfully. It’s a cool novelty if you’re into that.
The kitchen is regularly used by one or two other around normal meal times and generally kept tidy, there aren’t any problems around too many people using it at once. The other tenants are pretty quiet.
There is no allocated parking outside, however a permit from the local council costs me £11.00 a month. It’s calculated by emissions so if you have a ulez car the permit will be cheaper. There are regularly 2/3 spaces directly opposite the house. I have never had a problem with not being able to park outside.
There’s a large shopping retail park at Beckton, this is about 10 minutes away, has pretty much everything you need and a decent PureGym, Tesco, McDonald’s, Nando’s etc,
It’s a nice house to live in, I am moving to reduce my commute with work.
I am happy to arrange viewings and will organise with the landlord the references and checks that need to take place as he is often out the country, however always contactable by phone or WhatsApp message.
Ideally we would like someone who is quiet and can respect that other tenants work night shifts etc. being neat and tidy, ideally working professional/stable income. You’ll be sharing the house with 4 others so getting on with people will be important.
You can contact me with the number on the ad, please include your name, age, work, date of move in, a photo and a little bit about yourself.
Thank you
