Flat is located between Tower Hill and Aldgate stations, in a secure block with a Monday to Friday concierge who’s really friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the city/shoreditch/London Bridge
Rent is £950 per month and 1 month rent as deposit and the only bills are council tax which is £105 per month and electric which usually comes in at £125-£150 per month, which is split, even over winter it still stayed pretty much the same amount. I am in the process of changing supplier so hopefully will come down. Everything else is included.
The flat is slightly dated but is huge and the room is large with built in wardrobes with lots of space and two big windows so very light and airy. You can (just about) see Tower Bridge from the room. The kitchen has the usual, oven, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. There is your own bathroom with bath which is a great size with a huge wall mirror.
There are two gyms on the same street and also a few more around the corner. A tesco and Sainsbury’s on the same street and a Waitrose a 10 minute walk away through St Katherines Dock.
There is access to a huge shared roof terrace with amazing views of the city and Tower Bridge, there is also a massive balcony in the flat which I’m gradually filling up with plants, great on a summers evening. Concierge Monday to Friday 8am-4pm who’s super helpful and friendly.
Amazon packages are usually left at the flat door if not in but it’s pretty secure and never had any issues but there’s also an Amazon locker across the road if needed.
The landlady lives in Hong Kong but usually comes over a few times a year to pop in and say hello, she’s really friendly and helpful, any problems and they are fixed pretty quick, I had a problem with my shower and someone was out the next day and they replaced the tiles and taps that day.
I’m 41, English, easy going and tidy, non smoker, very laid back. Into my records and going to gigs and photography. I’ve lived here since September 2019 and love it, the location can’t be beaten. I’m into the usual stuff, work as a chef overseeing a pub companies kitchens so work 9-5 these days (mostly!) I’m around most weekends but try and get out as much as I can, but happy to hang out and have a drink or cook with someone. The balcony is great in the summer for eating outdoors.
I’m just looking for someone chilled who want’s a clean, quiet place to live.
Will be updating pictures as furniture in living room slightly different now.
