Large double bedroom for rent in bright, spacious and stylish 3 bedroom penthouse flat in E1! Viewing highly recommended!
The flat is fully furnished and consists of a large open plan kitchen, living and dining room, with doubles doors that open out on to a private balcony. There are lovely wooden floors throughout, neutral white walls and generally the flat is spacious with good natural light. The kitchen has a dishwasher. The bathroom is large, with both a shower and a separate shower/bath. If you need to work from home, there is a large desk in the room. We both work from home a few days a week and from the office at least twice a week.
Currently living in the flat are 2 girls, Kristina and Beka. We enjoy the usual things – pubs, socialising, exploring London and watching trash TV. We are looking for someone who is relaxed, fun and queer friendly who will hopefully want to get involved in the flat
The flat is in close proximity to Limehouse Basin, Regents Canal and the Thames. It’s a lovely walk along Regents Canal to Mile End Park and a little further takes you to Victoria Park. It’s a great area if you like walking, running and exploring in general. Just some of the places you can wander to on a clear day include Wapping, St Katharine’s Dock, Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market, Bethnal Green and Tower Bridge. There are plenty of grocery shops nearby, including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Lidl a short walk away. If you like pubs/restaurants, you can venture towards Narrow Street and Wapping for some cosy old pubs overlooking the Thames, or head East towards Mile End where there are lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from!
Transport connections:
5 minute walk to Limehouse (DLR and National Rail)
15 minute walk to Shadwell (Overground)
15 minute walk to Stepney Green (District, Hammersmith & City)
20 minute walk to Mile End (Central, District, Hammersmith & City)
Rent is £850 per month (this includes WiFi), currently we each pay £121 into a house account each month to cover water, electric and council tax (band D), plus hopefully there is usually a little leftover that we tend to use to buy washing detergent, washing up liquid and cleaning products for use by everyone in the flat). Unfortunately, like everyone else, we predict our energy bills to increase so we might have to increase the monthly payment - potentially to £150 (hopefully not anymore but with this ofgem, who knows?)
We are happy to provide an exact breakdown of the bills on request.
Move-in date ideally beginning of April 2023. There may be a bit of flexibility.
