Description
Gorgeous art deco building, very light rooms with huge windows, wooden floors in E1. 7 minutes walk to Aldgate East station or Whitechapel station. Great bus links.
I have been in this flat for...12 years? So this is really a home, and a welcoming one too, I think.
I am moving away for 6 months (possibly more) for work. This ad is for my own large fully furnished double room - 1300 including all bills. The other room is rented already to a friend of mine, a lovely speech and language therapist in her mid 30s. If you've looked around, wow, the rental market has a lot of really ugly, bleak rooms. And even on the fringes of London they're a fortune, it's criminal.
I am charging exactly what I pay - i'm not trying to make a profit on this, I just want someone to care for the room and enjoy it whilst I'm away.
We have a shared kitchen, bathroom and gorgeous living room.
The existing housemate is diligent and kind, very easy to live with. She will have equal say over who moves in, seeing as she will be living with them! We don't mind what industry you work in as long as you're kind and respectful. My housemate's partner is trans so you need to be accepting of that. If you're homophobic, don't like animals or voted for Brexit we are probably not going to get along, so don't apply.
In terms of who this room might be suited to - perhaps you're just in need of something temporary before something long term comes up? Maybe you're on a short term work placement and need somewhere? Maybe you're on an extended holiday and don't want to pay holiday prices? As i'm only moving out temporarily, a few things will remain in situ - I will of course fully clear the wardrobe and drawers, but will leave some of the books on the shelves and perhaps a box or 2 under the bed. At any rate, lots of this can be discussed. Most of my furniture is lovingly collected over the years, not the cheapest stuff that landlords put in rental flats - the right person will probably appreciate this distinction, and be happy to live in a nicer environment and to take care of it.
Message me with any questions.
