Description
Hey Spareroom!
We’re Helena (24) and El (24) and we’re looking for a new female flatmate to join our friendly flat as sadly our lovely current flatmate is moving out 🙁
We both graduated uni together and are now both working full time in Finance and Tech in the City & Canary Wharf. Looking for someone around our age range (22-29) who is either a working professional or student and wants a chilled but friendly flat share.
The Room:
The room is the largest in the house, with loads of natural light and a spacious ensuite. It comes fully furnished other than the desk which belongs to our current flatmate.
The Location:
We’ve absolutely loved living here the past 10 months hence why we want to stay!
The flat is a 6 minute walk from Shadwell station (DLR and overground) a 15 minute walk to Wapping (Overground) and 10 minute walk to Limehouse (Train station) with many bus routes into the City which take under 30 minutes end-to-end.
It’s walkable to both the City and Canary Wharf (c. 40 mins), and is a lovely walk along the river for CW!
Wapping is one of those London neighbourhoods that feels like a bit of a hidden gem. It's quiet, safe, and full of character, with lovely riverside walks, cosy pubs, and great cafés. It has a much more relaxed feel than central London, but you're still super well connected to the City, Canary Wharf, London Bridge, and Shoreditch. It's the best of both worlds in our opinion.
You’re also super close to St Katharine’s Docks, Tower Bridge and countless supermarkets/minimarts and cute coffee shops, as well as walking distance from Hackney and London Fields.
The Flat
The flat itself is modern with all standard appliances included, the landlord is responsive and helpful and the building itself is safe and secure. We also know everyone that lives here and have a group chat to share info.
It’s a 3 bed with a very spacious open plan living/kitchen area on the top floor of the building, with tonnes of storage and natural light.
A bit about us:
Helena
Hi I’m Helena! I work in asset management in Canary Wharf and am originally from Somerset. I studied Russian and Politics at uni.
My main hobbies include horse riding, running, hiking and coffee/pastry dates. I love a good pub night/wine bar, but wouldn’t say I’m a huge party animal and am more of an early bird.
I am in the office 3-4 days a week and WFH the other 1-2.
El
Hi, I’m El! I’m originally from Cambridge and have been living in London since uni. I studied data science and am now working as an analyst in tech.
I love cooking, reading, art, and exploring cafes and restaurants around London!!
Having a clean, peaceful and tidy place to come home to is a must for us – so we would be looking to share with people who feel similarly
Deets:
-Rent: £1300 per month (excl. bills)
-Deposit: £1,292
-Bills: £120-150 pcm each (including CT) depending on the season
-For students: Open to students but must be comfortable contributing to council tax (split evenly between 3) (Council Tax band D)
-Move-in Date: 26th September
-References required
If you like the sound of us and the look of the room and think you’d be a good fit, please message with a bit about yourself. We will be holding viewings the week of 27th July.
Look forward to hearing from you
