Description

Hi! I am looking for a flatmate to move in with me from 17 to 30 October. I have already viewed the property in the picture but conscious that the rental market in London is extremely fast-paced, someone might have taken it by the time I find a flatmate here. If the property is gone by then, I’m happy to look for the next one in these two developments only: Goodluck Hope or London City Island, both are in Canning Town.

About the flat:
2B2B in Douglass Tower
8-min walk from Canning Town station, which leads you to Jubilee and DLR line
1000+ square feet. Largest flat I’ve seen! With a spacious living room and a designated office area (can be separated with floor to ceiling glass door), which means we can have our desks in the area instead of the bedrooms and separate work from sleep!
Facilities include: 24 hour concierge, private gym with loads of equipments, sauna, steam, cinema, two co-working space
I’m happy to send you the video of the flat that I recorded

The flatmate I’m looking for:
(NO PETS, NO COUPLES, NO SUBLETTING)
No preference with gender but strong preference for a female, working in corporate world and ideally not WFH 5 days a week.
LGBTQ friendly
Slight clean freak and slightly minimalist (example of my idea of cleaning: wipe the stove + clear the food residue in the sink + put dishes into the dishwasher, after each use/at least by the end of the night
Open and patient to communicate and resolve any potential conflicts
Ideally has flat sharing experience in London before

About me:
28-year old working at a corporate law firm in Bank
I’m a Malaysian Chinese, speak 5 languages and been in the UK for 7 years now since uni so I have experience living alone/with flatmates from all over the world
MBTI test: INFP/ESTP, appreciate quiet time and personal space
During my free time, I do hot yoga, weight lifts, and ballet (there’s a ballet studio 5 min walk from the flat). I love a chill afternoon walk and then a pub, usually with Guinness or Hugo spritz. Also I love fashion so a lot of online shopping!
I usually hang out at Canada Water, Shoreditch, Angel or Highgate

My work is extremely demanding. During busy period (about 4 times a year), I would be in the office from 9am to 2am everyday for 2 weeks and only go home to shower and sleep so you would barely notice that I’m there. However, during quiet period, I will WFH 2 days a week.
On weekends, I would be out all day and only come home at night. So you would have a lot private space in the flat if you live with me!
I am a slight clean freak and a slight minimalist, big on cleanliness, esp with the kitchen, which means you NEVER have to clean after me. I understand that we’re all adults so can’t be spending the whole day cleaning :) but also want to come home to a clean flat! I’m also not too fuss about things being bit messy.
Perks: I’m investing in a £300 robot cleaner which I will place in the living room so you can go easy ;) I also hire a cleaner once/2 months to deep clean, no pressure to chip in, but would be super grateful if you do!
I don’t cook very often and even if I do, it’s all light food so the kitchen would stay clean.
(i hope you are the same on all of the above!)

Flags:
I have a long-term stable boyfriend who stay over once a week and sometimes during weekdays, I would always give you a heads up. And we are not the type that occupies the living room, mostly only spend time in my room. If we do need to watch a movie or something, I would also give you a heads up. And I go over to his about 3-4 times a year, for up to a week so you would also have the flat to yourself!
Note: my mom would visit me once a year, for about 3 weeks but we will tour around Europe mostly.

You may want to avoid me if:
You are hyper-sensitive to noise. Like I said, I would sometimes come home at 1am from office and will need to shower and blow dry my hair (in my room of course).
You do not like having a person coming over, eg. My bf and my mom
You love parties/bringing a group over to the flat. I love hosting people, but only once in a while and definitely not in the flat. Great thing is, the building has two common areas and private room where you can host as much as you want!
You do not have a habit of cleaning after yourself
