Description
One of our current flatmates is moving out, so we’re looking for someone to take over one of the two available bedrooms in our fully furnished 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom flat in London City Island.
Available from: End of February
Current lease until: Mid-September (with option to renew)
Room Options:
• Small room – £1250/month
• En-suite bedroom (with walk-in wardrobe) – £1525/month
Bills are approximately £160/month in winter (including electricity, water, energy, and council tax), and likely cheaper in summer.
We’re currently flexible on who takes which room. Emma (currently in the en-suite) is moving out. Jack (in the small room) is open to switching to the en-suite if needed, so we just need to find someone to take one of the two rooms. If you do take the small room, you’ll be sharing the bathroom with me (Tong).
Flat & Building:
• Fully furnished, top floor (20th floor) with incredible 280° wrap-around balcony, views of the Thames, O2, and Canary Wharf
• Great natural light all day, sunrise in the morning, sunset in the evening
• Washer/dryer, large fridge, central heating, spacious common areas, with a grand piano inside the flat
• Building amenities: 2 gyms, indoor & outdoor pools, 2 jacuzzis, 2 saunas, and a private cinema
Location:
• 3-minute walk to Canning Town Station (Jubilee Line & DLR)
• Right downstairs: Sainsbury’s Local, cafés
• 5-min walk to Lidl, Morrisons, TianTian, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Superdrug
About Us:
• Tong – Chinese, grew up in the US, working in finance (fully remote), gay, and also a classical pianist (there’s a piano in the flat and I practice every day + teach piano at home occasionally, so please be aware of that).
• Jack – American, straight, works in data center engineering, goes to the office 4–5 days a week, travels around the world for work relatively often.
We’re both very chill and sociable people. We like to have friends over from time to time and enjoy going out, but we also value peace and personal space at home.
Who we’re looking for:
• Someone who’s chill, respectful and considerate
• Clean and tidy in the shared areas, like cleaning up after using the kitchen. This is very important to us
• Someone who can keep the flat quiet at night
