Double Room Stratford

Hi everyone

My flatmate is moving to her own flat in August so I’m looking for a new flatmate to share a spacious 2 bedroom flat near Stratford. The room will be available from 1st of September however we might be a bit flexible regarding moving dates.

The bedroom has a double bed, mattress, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest drawers.

Price: 740£ + approx. 120£ bills (council tax, water, electricity, gas and broadband)

The flat has a kitchen (with all appliances), a bathroom with shower and bath and a spacious living room. It’s doesn’t have a balcony or garden but we have 2 parks pretty close to the flat.

The flat is well located, within walking distance from several tube lines (Stratford and Plaistow), trains, direct bus to Stanstead and a very short walk from several bus stops and DLR. It’s close to Westfield Shopping centre and Olympic Park and there is a few local shops and restaurants just across the street. It’s within a walkable distance or a short bike ride from Hackney Wick with excellent bars and breweries.

If you’re the sporty type, there’s gyms and swimming pool at the Olympic park and a CrossFit box just 5min walk from the flat.

The flat is managed by an agency and for the 2 years that I have been living here they were always helpful and all the problems reported were solved in a timely manner. (My flatmate has been living here for 6 years).

I am a PhD student, working VERY full time. When work allows me to have a break I like to chill in the living room. If I am feeling brave enough to leave the house I like exhibitions, theatre and a good old night out dancing. I consider myself a friendly and sociable person but also respectful of other’s own space. If you are looking for a party flat this might not be your best choice. I like to host dinners with some friends and the occasional house party and you are more than welcome to do the same but it is not a "party every weekend" type of flat.

I’m looking for someone who’s friendly, respectful, clean, tidy, used to flat sharing and considerate.

The agency will require references.
