Description

Hello!

I'm Rosie, a current tenant in this gorgeous flat. I've been lucky to live here for two years with my sister, but she's moving back to Ireland so I'm searching for someone friendly and chill to take her place!

About the flat
We're situated on Fish Island, a thriving spot with eateries, bars and lots of green spaces — bustling Hackney Wick is a 5-minute walk away, as is the calming Victoria Park. Our large open-plan living area overlooks the canal and is the perfect place to watch boats, birds, and people go by. It's fully furnished, and we've really kitted it out to feel like a home with artwork and cutesie bits and bobs — but this will be your home, too, so let's get more stuff up on the walls! The letting agents and landlord are also really sound folk and very communicative, which always helps!

About the room
You'll be taking over my sister's room, an incredibly large space complete with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe! It's fully furnished with a bed, shelves, drawers, a bedside table and bathroom storage — and there's space to add a desk if you're a hybrid worker.

Transport links
Hackney Wick station is a 5-minute walk away, with the Overground taking you east to connected Stratford station or west towards Highbury & Islington and Camden, etc. The 339 bus is just around the corner.

Costs
The room costs £1350 per calendar month (with an initial deposit of £1270). Bills, including council tax (band D), electricity and Wi-Fi, at the moment, come to roughly £65 a month, but this will increase during the winter as we'll undoubtedly need to whack the heat on. The letting agents have asked me to mention that you need to be earning at least £36,000 per year to meet rental costs.

About me
I'm 32, Irish and a copywriter for a tech/creative agency. I'm outgoing, friendly and love living in a tidy space. Big fan of a good book, a cheesy movie, a stupid TikTok and a nice cocktail! I work in the office one to two days a week, so I would enjoy living with someone who has a similar schedule as my desk is situated in the living area, and it'll give us the opportunity to enjoy a good work/life balance. I love having people over for drinks and dinner from time to time, but I'd rather go out to a party and come home to a quiet sanctuary than have our home become a party spot. Ideally, I'm looking for a female housemate of a similar age who's respectful, clean and enjoys watching trashy telly with a glass of wine! If this sounds like your cup of tea, I'd love to hear from you.

Viewings
I'm aiming to conduct viewings on the week beginning the 14th of October, with the move-in date being somewhere around the 7th of November. Get in touch and tell me more about who you are, where you work and what you like to get up to during your downtime. I can't wait to hear from you! :)

Caveats
Sorry, no couples or people with pets are allowed, but I hope you find a home that suits you soon.
