My long standing flatmate is moving out so there's an opportunity to take a large double room in a three bedroom flat between Victoria Park and the Roman Road.

The flat is on the seventh floor; the building is served by two lifts and there's a manned 24 hour concierge.

The room itself is a large double and is currently furnished with:-
A standard double bed
2 bedside tables
A desk
A chair
A double wardrobe with drawers
A set of storage shelves
A sofa
A small coffee talbe

The flat has a well equipped kitchen with:-
a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, coffee maker and toaster; plus all the usual cooking kit.

There is a separate shared sitting room with space for dining and with access to an outside balcony. There is a bathroom with bath and electric shower and a separate loo which is very handy on the mornings. The flat was built to good old fashioned storage standards so there's plenty of dedicated storage space - we currently keep two bikes in one of the storage cupboards

Broadband is Vodafone. Some bills are included in the rent like heating and hot water. All the rest come to about £100 per month depending on the season and personal usage

The Council Tax band is Band C

The building is located on Driffield Road between Victoria Park and the Roman Road with great views overlooking the Olympic Stadium and Victoria Park; which is a stones throw away and is great for outdoor stuff even in the winter. The Roman Road is at the bottom of the street with chemists, dry cleaners, supermarkets (Tesco/Fresh), coffee shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, gym and some excellent local convenience shops. There's also a regular street market. If you don't know the area there are some fantastic new pubs and restaurants around the Roman as well as the usual East End stalwarts that have been here forever. And it's an easy walk along the canal to the delights of Broadway Market, Columbia Road, to Westfield and Stratford, down to Mile End Park and Limehouse and up to the ever popular Victoria Park Village, Hackney Wick and the Chatsworth Road.

Transport is excellent here with buses, tubes, trains and the DLR all in easy reach and with bike stands at the bottom of the building.

Mile End is the closest tube which is a 10ish minute walk or a 3 minute bus ride to:-

District - Victoria (18 mins.)

Bow Road tube and Bow Road DLR are about 15 mins. walk away.

The Overground is about 20 mins walk away at Hackney Wick.

You'll be sharing with two other people. I'm an architect on sabbatical at the moment and will hopefully be abroad for much of the year so mostly there’ll be the two of you. My flatmate is a young Welshman working in tech and tends to be busy during both the week and weekends. We're looking for some one who is clean, tidy and respectful but also up for a bit of socializing.
