DETAILED SUMMARY:
The House - Quick summary of the house itself - it is a very spacious and spread-out house with a homely warm-wooded feel; a large communal fully-furnished living room on the ground floor at the front of the house, a nicely sized kitchen and dining area, a downstairs toilet, and a private garden that is a mega suntrap from about midday onwards. Upstairs we have a medium sized main bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, the available room plus the other 2 occupied bedrooms.
Location - The house is 2 mins walk from Upton Park tube station on both the District and Hammersmith & City lines, so a really reliable direct connection through Tower Hamlets and into Central London (35-40 mins to Kings Cross). Other handy transport connects include being 2 stops away from the Jubilee line at West Ham, Suffragette Line at Barking, and Stratford is roughly 15 mins away on multiple bus routes. Lidl, Tesco and Iceland are all a minute away on the high street around the corner, as well as other necessities like pharmacies/Boots and Superdrug, and so many food options in the area both within walking distance and by delivery. East Ham high street is also a 10/15 minute walk away with even more convenient shops + amazing Indian food.
The Vibes - In terms of the mood of the house - general ethos is very live-and-let-live with an easy-going spirit – perfectly likely to have chats and hangs in the kitchen and garden, as much as take our own space and privacy as we want. Some of us do hybrid working, so working from home housemates (however much or little of the week) are more than welcome.
Rent & Bills – Rent is paid at the end of the current month to cover the following month. Bills are fairly cheap between 4 people, typically totalling between £95 and £105 a month.
