Hey there! We're Cian (he/him, 31) and Sid (he/him, 35), and we're looking for a new flatmate to join our amazing three-bedroom flat in Hackney! We’ve been living here for two years and love it.
Our spacious flat is located on Mare Street, just a 5-minute walk from London Fields park and the Overground, with Hackney Central only 8 minutes away and Bethnal Green a quick 10-minute bus ride. You’ll also have plenty of buses to central and south London right at your doorstep! The neighborhood is super vibrant – Broadway Market and Columbia Road Flower Market are just a 10-minute and 20-minute walk away, and we’re surrounded by fantastic bars, restaurants, pubs, and all the best bakeries in East London. Plus, Lidl and Tesco are just 7 minutes away for all your essentials.
ABOUT THE ROOM:
The room available is a lovely double with a comfortable mattress, facing Mare Street and with a built-in wardrobe for all your things. The rent is £740 + bills (approx £170 pcm , and the move-in date is flexible around the start of June.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The agency will need a passport and bank statement or payslips (unfortunately, they don’t accept benefits).
The flat is up 4 flights of stairs, so not wheelchair accessible, and there are 6 steps to the bathroom.
There's no phone entry system or other visual/hearing adaptations.
ABOUT US AND THE HOUSE:
We keep weekdays quiet, this isn’t a party house – though we love having friends over for dinner or gatherings now and again! We’re a queer couple, so our home is a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ folks, so we’re looking for someone who shares that vibe. We work from home a few days a week. We all pitch in to keep the place clean and tidy, and we’ll set up a cleaning schedule for common areas to make sure everything stays comfortable for everyone.
