Elegant modernist flat in Golden Lane, Barbican

Top floor one bedroom / studio flat in the famous golden lane estate, designed by the same architects who built the Barbican. The flat is a few minutes walk from the Barbican centre. Also very close to Old Street, Shoreditch, the financial district, Southbank, St Paul’s, Kings Cross, Exmouth Market and Angel. It borders Farringdon and Clerkenwell. It’s a very quiet flat with a beautiful view of the city skyline. There is also access to the estate swimming pool, gym and tennis courts which are next door.

There is a large Mac desktop computer, and a lovely desk with a view of the estate, which you can use during your stay.

I want to rent to someone who is super clean, tidy and conscientious of how to avoid damage in my flat, e. g. to wooden surfaces, floors, walls etc. This isn’t an apartment that is suitable for house parties and they are not permitted. This is a quiet estate and I am looking for a respectful tenant. I would prefer to rent to people in their 30s.

We can discuss a certain degree of flexibility, but if someone can make these dates work for me, I will likely choose your application. I have had my inbox inundated with requests, apologies if I can’t get back to you (and best of luck finding somewhere!!)

Heating via EDF is approx 1,095.5 GBP for 6 months, approx 547.75 GBP for 3 months.
This flat is heated with electricity, not gas. It is an expensive flat to heat especially during winter (so the above estimates may go up if you use a lot). The architectural design is original to the 1950s development and the large windows don’t conserve the heat as well as modern flats. From March the flat won’t require much heating, it can also get very warm with sunlight and we are on the top floor, so if you stay for 6 months the energy costs will balance out more or less.

No pets allowed. Please water my plants!
