The room is freshly painted and the landlady can help with furniture requirements including replacing the double bed that’s in the current photo.
House: clean, communal bathroom, x2 separate toilets (upstairs/ downstairs), large kitchen, large living room (used mostly for working out/ airing laundry in winter/ WFH/ movies/ socialising), large garden.
In summer the garden is great for BBQs / sunbathing.
Parking: free on street.
Transport/ area: W7 bus stop literally across the street. Easy & quick access to Muswell Hill, Crouchend, Finsbury Park. E. g. Kings Cross is a 25minute commute from the house (including the bus ride to Finsbury Park). Alexandra Palace is close by, within walking distance.
Opposite the house is a small church which holds vintage sales on weekends. There’s shops across the road including Coop, NISA, an organic health store. Some lovely cafes/ restaurants round the corner.
Within walking distance towards Muswell Hill & Crouchend there are more shops/ restaurants/ pubs/ cafes.
Closest gyms are Hornsey Health Centre (5min walk) & Pure Gym at Muswell Hill (15 min walk or 2 min bus ride). There’s also a hot yoga studio at Muswell Hill. And another Pure Gym in Crouchend.
Rent: 551 pcm + bills + cleaner. Bills include council tax (band G) and internet (Virgin Media). Bills are approx ~£140 in winter months pcm. Bi-weekly Cleaner is a separate payment (approx ~£19.2 pcm).
One month’s rent required as a deposit.
Current household: we are a friendly, chill house. Not loud partiers and the house is generally more on the quiet side. One of us works from home (AI developer), another is hybrid (managerial role) and another is freelance (film/TV). We enjoy having casual kitchen chats but for the most part everyone does their own thing. We’re respectful of each other’s spaces, e. g. shoes off, tidy up after cooking etc.
Our previous housemate lived here for 6 years and moved out due to work. Most of us have been here for about 3 years.
It’s a great house and area to live in.
