We have just build a three generation home with a self contained flat. It is a beautiful, unique space with high roof and plenty of light.
There is a double bedroom and own bathroom with bathtub and shower (although the shower is not full height).
Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge.
We live in the house next door and my inlaws live in flat below. We are a very friendly family and have been having lodgers for years. The flat however is self contained so you can join us if you wish or keep yourself completely separate,
It is a lovely location, peaceful and quiet as it is in a close set back from the road. However it is very convenient for the shops, restaurants and cafes and close to the station and bus stops. Very easy to get into London.
