Description

We are looking for a friendly person to share our lovely house from the 23rd September.

*About the room* (updated photos coming soon!)
The room is a small furnished room on the second floor, with a west-facing window which gives beautiful golden-hour light. The room size is 1.80 x 3.40 meters (5.9 x 11.2 Feet) and does fit a double bed. It comes with an amazing in-built storage cupboard on the second floor for clothing or items, and extra space to work from home in another room in the house. You would share a bathroom/toilet with two others, and there is a second bathroom/toilet on the ground floor as well.

*The House*
The house is a townhouse in a quiet close in Stoke Newington, recently refurbished, with a wonderful big kitchen and double gas range, and a large living room. We have a back garden and space for bike storage. We are about 20 mins’ walking/10 mins’ cycling from Stoke Newington, Finsbury Park and Manor House stations, and only a few minutes walk to Clissold Park and Church Street.

*The housemates*
We love our house share and we want it to be more than a place to sleep, work and eat; we are looking for a housemate who shares this and want to join regular house dinners, hang-outs and chats. At the same time, we respect each other’s personal space and alone time. We sometimes have dinners and small gatherings/parties at the house, but day-to-day are chilled out and quiet. A calm haven in the metropolis!

We are a mix of vegans and vegetarians but keep a vegetarian house so you'd need to be up for this! We do some bulk-buying of dry ingredients together and some of us share a local veg bag which is really handy for keeping costs down. We are clean but not obsessively so. We are POC-, Jewish- and queer-friendly and we need you to be too. We're a mix of ages 27-45, with professions including forest school teacher, PhD student, theatre maker and language teacher, and circular economy startup. Some of us have been here up to 9 years so it really feels homely!

*The details*
Rent is £630, deposit is £630, and monthly bills (Internet, council tax Band D, water) come to about £80-£90. (Honestly amazing value for the area!)

Send us a message if you're interested and tell us a bit about you, your interests, schedule etc! We'll be doing viewings end of August/early September. We look forward to hearing from you!
