Hello! We’re Iona (they/she) and Tanvi (they/them), and we’re looking for someone to sublet a room in our flat from 10th of July till end of August.

We’re looking for a caring, solidarity-based vibe at home, where we look out for each other and where we prioritise chill and fun vibes and are direct and honest with our communication when it’s needed. It’s important for both of us to live in a clean and tidy home (especially the kitchen), where everyone is responsible and adult about doing their fair share.

We have been living in the flat for two years.

We're both queer and want to live with someone who is either queer or who is a strong ally.

About the room

The room measures approximately 3 x 2 metres, is south-facing with a view onto the (quiet) street and multiple trees, and has a double bed and a built-in floor to ceiling wardrobe.

About the flat

The flat is bright, beautiful and airy and located on a quiet and leafy street, 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Marshes. The flat was recently renovated and not too hot in summer. There is a large, bright (south-facing) living room with a balcony, beautiful wooden dining table, comfortable sofas and shelves. There is a really big and fully functional kitchen with a gas stovetop and oven, a new, large fridge and big windows that give on to the garden and show the sunset. Our garden is accessible via the side of the building (not accessible directly from the flat). The bathroom is spacious and bright, with a bathtub.

Availability & price

The room is £400 pcm, and bills come to approximately £50 per month. The room is available from the 10th of July till end of August (as a sublet from the previous flatmate).

External: 1 step at external front door
Internal: 17 steps to the flat inside the building. Bathroom and toilet are in the same room and there is only one. No installed mobility aids.

Transport & supermarkets

The transport links to the flat are good, with Northumberland Park (National Rail) a 5 min walk away, Seven Sisters (Victoria Line) a 15 minute bus ride/ 15 minute cycle away, Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line) a 5 minute cycle or 20 minute walk, and Bruce Grove overground 15ish minutes walk away (with quick and regular trains to Liverpool Street and Hackney). There’s a big Sainsbury’s a 12 minute walk away, a Tesco express 3 mins away and a Lidl 15 minutes walk away.
