Description
Two rooms available - previous flatmates were a couple which decided to buy
The house:
- At the end of a residential street, so fairly quiet without a lot of traffic
- No lounge, but there is sofa in the kitchen and garden space for summer
- There are 3 toilets, 1 bathtub, 1 shower & each bedroom has a sink
- Energy is friendly, chill, drama-free gay professional males
- There are 2 older cats, unfortunately they wouldn't appreciate any additions
- Weekly cleaner for common spaces
- Dish washer
- Fibre internet
- Laundry room with washer/drier & drying racks
- Bills (electric, water, council, cleaner, wifi) included - we split cost for general house products (loo roll, bleach, cleaning products..)
Both rooms have/are being refreshed with new paint & double glazed windows.
Room one:
- £790 / month
- 1st floor
- Approx. 3.5 x 2.7m
- Double sized bed available
- Additional space available on landing for a sideboard
(The plants in photo aren't included)
Room two:
- £1100 / month
- Ground floor
- Approx. 4.8 x 5m
- King size bed available
- Large wardrobe available
(The uploaded photos are quite old, as the room is currently under refresh, more modern furniture will be available, but it should give you an idea of the space)
Seeking:
- Non-heavy partying - we don't bring the party home
- Non-drama, communicative, and kind
- Tidy in common areas
- Preference for other professional gay men, but open to all people with good vibes
- We are social when around, have some drinks/food together, but often people are doing their own thing due to varied schedules
- We are a bit of nerds/creatives - we would like to keep that sort of vibe
Current Housemates:
Everyone has lived here multiple years.
Luke: Currently splits time between UK & Australia, so currently not around often. Into gaming and cooking.
Jack: Works from home in design. The plant guy & gardener, DIYer, and into cooking.
Robbie: Works nights, so you won't see him around much. Also into gaming & history.
Neighborhood:
Mixed area with all kinds of people - not particularly posh, but never felt unsafe. Our street is quiet.
Grocery:
Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury, H&B, green market, 24h Turkish, Polish, Caribbean, Asian shops
Transport:
- Bruce Grove overground (1 stop away from Seven Sisters Victoria Line)
- Weaver line goes down to Liverpool street, cutting through east London
- 15 minute walk to Tottenham Hale (express train to Stansted & Victoria line)
- Tons of buses
- Plenty of street parking
Gym:
5 minute walk away, The Gym group
Neighborhood amenities:
- Parks (Walthamstow marshes, Bruce grove castle park, Lordship recreation grounds)
- Walthamstow beer mile (not far)
- Various restaurants & cafes
- Various pubs
- Roller disco
- Tottenham Stadium
Lease is per room and managed through landlord. He will do a a tenant credit reference check.
Unfortunately because of the building works, I don't have photos of the common areas, but happy to show you over video/update photos as the works wrap up.
Process:
- Initial call with Jack, just to answer any questions, can do a bit of a video tour of house/rooms
- Come see the place in person
- Phone/video call with other flatmates (Luke is in Australia at the moment, you may meet Robbie in person)
- You chat with landlord, fill out paperwork
- Move in!
