Large Double Room In Social/Musical/Arty Warehouse

Large double room in a 3 bedroom converted warehouse - part of the Manor House warehouse community.

The room comes unfurnished but has two windows and is cosy throughout winter and cooler in the summer.

We are looking for someone who likes to socialise, sharing meals regularly, helping with cleaning each week and ideally someone who enjoys being part of `a community.

We are generally pretty chill and spend time working from home as artists, cooking home cooked meals, watching films on the projector or just catching up together or with our neighbours in other warehouses.

One shared bathroom between three of us, communal kitchen and living room space. Great water pressure in the shower. electric over and washing machine.

House kitty is included in rent (cleaning products, communal tea/coffee, toilet paper etc)

The room is available long term or short term and would suit a musician, dj, or artist with energy and good vibes. We have musical equipment in the main room already as well as some decent speakers and basic dj equipment.

Rent price includes all bills, internet, Now TV (you need your own smart tv to access), toilet rolls and kitchen roll, and all cleaning products too

You will be living with me (Rae) I'm 40 years old, they/them pronouns, and I'm an artist, musician and dj. I paint murals, print clothes and run events so I am usually working on something creative in the warehouse. I love all kinds of music and when I'm not working on things I I enjoy sharing music, films, books, food and generally engaging with others or just chilling at home or with friends.

Frank - 32 years old, they/them pronouns, they are studying at university and also they perform at drag shows and sing at music jams and in bands. Frank loves horror movies, video games, politics, vegan food and socialising too!

10 mins from FInsbury Park, great connection to local shops (Sainsburys, Aldi, TK Maxx as well as local Turkish shops alonf Green Lanes etc)

Close to Manor House Station, Harringay Green Lanes station, Seven Sisters station and more

Social - we are actual real life friends! It's a small warehouse so everyone is important and everyone plays a role. You are important and we want to get to know you, share food, and enjoy each other's company. Of course, we all need time to spend alone and recharge too - and time to work as well.. But it's great to have a balance and spend time together too.

Able to clean - not just clean up after yourself but actually contribute to a weekly cleaning rota (about an hour of cleaning each per week) and notice when bins need taking out or when things are getting a bit grimy etc so that we all share these tasks.

Respectful - we need to take time to be get to know each other, learn each other's boundaries and also respect things like pronouns, political, religious or social beliefs, neurodivergence and mental health, lifestyle, etc.

Experienced living with others and overcoming conflicts/finding solutions without making things personal. It's a shared space and getting to know each other takes time. It would be weird if there were no conflicts at all, and it's important that we can overcome them together with good communication, friendly vibes and no bitterness.

If you are good at DIY then that's a huge bonus point as we love to do home projects together and there are always new things we can be working on

Understands that living with artists and musicians can be chaotic and messy, but that doesn't mean trashing the place or ignoring our responsibilities to the space and to each other

Kind, friendly, confident but able to set boundaries and respect others boundaries

Unfortunately we are not able to accept anyone on benefits at this time due to the nature of the contracts we have on this space
