We are looking for a flatmate to join us on our tenancy. We have lived in the property for just over 5 years, and renewed the tenancy this March.
The room is 4.2m x 4.2m (approx 190sq ft) and unfurnished. It has a NW facing window so gets lots of light in the afternoon and evening. The property is large, split over 4 levels, with two communal bathrooms. It has great natural light and very airy with lots of plants.
Rent is £965pcm, with bills on top (approx £150 each pcm). Council Tax band is E
Our rent is relatively low for a property of this size, and in a really great location. It is about a 4 minute walk to Caledonian Road tube (Piccadilly Line) and a further 10 mins to the Overground line at Caledonian Rd & Barnsbury.
Holloway Rd is a short walk away, as well as plenty of supermarkets, great pubs, restaurants, & cafés. The Lord Stanley, Westerns Laundry & Caravan are local favourites.
About us: I am an accessories designer (48M English, Straight), and Jan (46M German, Gay) works in the advertising industry. We see our home as a sanctuary from our busy lives, so it's not a party house, although we occasionally have a dinner party (once or twice a year on average). We both love music, and enjoy going to gigs.
We are looking to find someone who is chilled, tidy, and in employment. A grown up! We are a liberally minded household and hoping a future flatmate would be too.
Our current flatmate has accepted a job abroad, and is leaving before the notice period, so the room is actually available from the 1st of August (subject to agency checks).
We can be relatively flexible on move in date, our priority is to find the right person although our preferred deadline is the 18th as this when next months rent is due.
