Description
Hi there, thanks for taking a look! Please make sure to read the whole advert.
Please note, this is a sublet for the months of July and August!
Hope you’re all well.
We have a room going in our house from 1st July (could be earlier through discussion), so we’d like to find some lovely people to move in
About us:-
We are an LGBTQIA+ household. You don’t have to be queer but you do need to be an ally. We’re also not veggies/vegans, but happy for them to move in if you want! We have cats, Mildred and Ethel, and they will demand attention, so cat lovers encouraged.
Gemma - 31 - working in a law firm, Sims 4 addict by night.
Jack - 30 - AGM of an awesome AF bar in Shoreditch, singer so you’ll hear him belting some tunes every once in a while
Ronnie - 27 - manager in said awesome AF bar. Loves DND and the cats
About the house:-
It’s a 5-bedroom property on Wightman Road, N8. Hornsey over ground station (Great Northern) is like 5 minutes away which takes you to Moorgate, Finsbury Park, Highbury and Islington, and makes commuting easy, Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly Line) station is a 10-15 minute walk.
We have a lounge, and a huge and long kitchen/diner that leads on to a massive garden. We like to maintain it and make it nice for bbqs and parties (haven't cut it this year due to the great british weather!)
The available room is on the upper level of the house
Room 2 - £500 - small double room - has a double bed and floor space so it's not a wall to wall bed situation. The bed is a day bed and can be pushed in to form a sofa for more space during the day if you desire, you'd just need to find a different mattress. It also includes a wardrobe, and chest of drawers - and there is space under the bed for additional box storage. Deposit is £784 as the house is on an AST and isn’t a room by room let, so this was split 5 ways equally.
Landlord is suuuuper chill, leaves us alone unless there’s a necessary visit, and lets us have control of the house with interior, which means yay you can hang pictures!
Bills come to roughly £100 a month, may be slightly more when the water bill comes out (Thames Water bill us for very weird time periods!) and includes the council tax, gas and electric. You'll have sight of the bills and what is owed, for full transparency.
About you:
Working professional (council tax and referencing reasons), ideally a hybrid or office worker. Ideally no WFH, just as there are different scheduled workers and music enthusiasts who live in the house, but if your job doesn’t involve calling all day which means people can move around as they normally would, that could work. We're looking for somebody super chill, clean, respectful of space, and happy to pitch in. Myself, Jack, and Ron are like family (known each other for yeeeears) so we want others to come in and feel like they’re home, not just crashing.
References will be required.
We don't mind your friends/partners/dates coming over, just give a heads up if they do!
We like to host gatherings, the occasional occasion party, have friends over, etc, so you’re more than welcome to do that. Our friends are all nice and LGBTQIA, and a chilled vibe.
Please send me a message if you have any further questions or you want to come and see us and view the house, we'd like to make a decision very soon. Pictures of the room, and the rest of the house to get an idea, and some of the cats for you guys to gush over.
*Replies during the week will be responded to from 6pm onwards due to work*
