1 double room is available in our friendly house in Green Lanes/Turnpike Lane. Available from 13th February.
The house has a large kitchen with dining area, downstairs WC, bathroom upstairs, bike shed, 5 bedrooms, front garden and roomy, leafy back garden. The available bedroom is on the ground floor.
This has been a shared house for about 15 years. You would be sharing with 4 other people. Will has lived here 5 years, Anna nearly a year, Mariam 7 months and Rosie a few months. We have a range of occupations/ interests, Mariam is a PhD student, Will is currently studying to become a solicitor, Anna freelances as a theatre sound designer, Rosie is an events producer. The house is a great opportunity to live somewhere peaceful and affordable in London, have someone to chat with when you get home from work and you’re cooking dinner, and to have outdoor space – plant growing is highly encouraged! Also, we have a fig tree and apple tree that produce fruit in the summer.
As a household we generally have pretty left leaning views and are looking for a similar minded person to join us.

Technical stuff:
We share bills -
Electricity and gas – this varies, but this year we paid approx. £30.60 each per month, throughout the year, avoiding a big spike in bills during winter.
Internet – BT broadband £5.79 each per month
Water - £8 each per month
Council Tax - £56 each per month
Toilet roll (!) - £4.20 each per month
Cleaner – Fortnightly £9.50 each
(Total approx. £126 each per month)
The landlord has always been available when things need fixing, or things like the fridge need replacing, and he sends the same plumber, electrician, decorator, etc. whenever we need something, which is quite cute. He’s very considerate and we only see him when we’re renewing the contract. It is a shared shorthold tenancy agreement and the deposit goes in a tenancy deposit scheme.
