Description
Hey! My flatmate is moving out of our lovely flat on the 30th of November and we are looking for someone to replace her on the lease.
I have the other room in the flat and will be your flatmate. I am a lawyer working in the city and have a tragic work life balance. I am reasonably tidy and am respectful of common spaces. When I’m home, you will often find me watching something or hanging out on the balcony. I am usually doing my own thing but am down to hang out from time to time as well.
The flat is bright, beautiful and airy, and to be honest it is the best thing in my life right now. Your room is an en-suite that gets ample sunlight during the day. There is loads of storage and the flat is spacious.
There is a sunny balcony (access from kitchen/living space) overlooking a parking lot and cranes. While it is not the best of views (we are on the 4th floor) you feel like the ruler of your little universe.
There is a building group chat where people sell or give away their furniture, etc and you might get cool stuff if you keep an eye out.
We have a concierge service who will receive parcels on your behalf. There is a common terrace on the second floor and a “park” behind our building.
Our building is not the most lavish (we don’t have a gym or a swimming pool) but it is a new build and is quite convenient to live in. There are three lifts in the building and all three work 90% of the time.
We also have an intercom system which is quite handy for getting food delivered. There is a central line station 15 min walk away and an overground/bakerloo line station also 15 min walk away. There’s also regular buses. For the space we get and the rent we pay, I find the commute is worth it.
There’s a Tesco and a Sainsbury near the central line station. There is also an Amazon fresh 5 min walk away for when you are home and feel lazy.
The utilities come to about £150 every month per person.
Send me a message if this sounds like a good situation. The landlord requires references from your work and maybe previous landlord. We rent with Folio so they have their own process. You would need to have the right to rent and it is easier also if you are a employed human being.
My flatmate has got her own ad up for the room as well, we thought we’d cover more ground this way. Do let us know if you have any questions and we are happy to schedule viewings soon.
