Description
Single bedroom on the top floor of the house, with own en-suite (recently refurbished) shower room, basin and toilet. Possibility of a small double bedroom on the same floor if preferred. Good Wi-Fi. Shared use of the kitchen, living room and garden and washing machine. A cleaner comes regularly.
This lovely home is well located in a pretty and leafy residential suburb close to Hampstead Heath and local parks and shops. A 10-minute walk to Golders Green station (Northern Line).
** Available immediately for the right match subject to our vetting process**
** A driver is required, and a car is available**
What the Opportunity involves:
In return for the low-cost accommodation (only £199 per month), we are looking to match a friendly and kind female sharer to this new 'family’ Homeshare, who is happy to provide some light practical help and support to a single mum in her 40's who has two children (aged 8 and 6). Approximately 10 hours pw.
The homeowner is a warm and friendly lady who has restricted use of one hand and is unable to drive. She is otherwise able to live an independent life and look after the children, and she has a part time job and does some volunteering whilst the children are at school.
She is supported by her close family who live locally and help with the school runs and she is looking to share her home with a younger female (24+) who is a driver and has their own independent life, working or studying with the flexibility to provide support with school drop offs up to three mornings a week (between 8:15-8:45 am), and collect up to twice a week if possible, flexible on days (30 minutes). School terms only.
Other support might include a little help with laundry, and occasional practical tasks and odd jobs in the home that the homeowner finds difficult. No childcare is required but someone who is good humoured and considerate with a helpful attitude who has some experience with children and would be happy to tie up a ponytail, play a board game or read a story to the children sometimes would be ideal.
We are looking to match this opportunity very soon so if it is of interest, please get in touch with us ASAP preferably by email and tell us about yourself, your work/studies schedule and why you would be well suited to it.
**Cost: £199 per month**
This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the Homeowner. Bills are included, although you may be asked to make a modest contribution to the Homeowner towards the energy bills, and council tax if you are working.
We are a social enterprise facilitating Homeshare matches across London and Hertfordshire. We match people who live alone and need some practical support and company, with mature adults wanting affordable accommodation who are happy to provide some companionship and practical support in return for a safe place to live. No personal care is permitted.
