THE SPACE:
This large ground floor room is in a mezzanine apartment. It comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and mirror, but there’s plenty of room for a workspace/desk and sofa and there's a TV point in the room.
The flat is one flight up in a gated converted Victorian school building complex and on a well lit road a moment from several bus stops. It boasts access to a large communal roof terrace with views across the city – great for BBQs and exercise with a view!
There’s a newly refurbished full bathroom with shower next to the room which you’ll have primary use of (note, it's next to the bedroom, not fully en suite). On the mezzanine level there a second bathroom which I use and 2 large bedrooms – one currently used as a spare for visitors and functioning as my space for working (I WFH 3 days week).
The living room, dining area and kitchen make up a large open plan space on the ground floor, and the double height ceiling means the flat feels spacious and airy.
Bills are included (internet, water, electricity, council tax (Band C) and TV licence). I also have my own Netflix and Amazon account connected up to the communal TV which you're welcome to use.

I’ve owned and lived in the flat for 8.5 years now. I work in sustainability communications for a corporate and now I’m looking for a new flatmate.
I regularly work from home but there's plenty of room for you to do so too.
THE AREA:
The flat is within a mile of Elephant & Castle, Borough and London Bridge stations. It's walking distance to the city, Liverpool St, Waterloo etc, and incredibly well served by many major bus routes on its doorstep - which is often the quickest way to travel.
Local area which seen huge development recently and I’m perfectly placed to get to the best food, drink and entertainment in the area on foot, being situated in the triangle between Maltby St and the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile, Bermondsey Street, the new Elephant Park development and Borough Market.
We've got lots of good gyms (Gymbox, Fitness First, Southwark council gym, boxing and specialist gyms in Elephant Park) and access to plenty of supermarkets nearby: Lidl next door, a Tesco superstore about 8mins walk, and plenty of smaller stores on the high street.
Being close to the road means easy access to transport and bus/walk home. Triple glazing keeps the flat really quiet.
