Description
Time for a change…
One of our dearest housemates is about to leave and we are on a quest for finding someone who can take their place.
About the room
Double bedroom on the first floor of the house, large and full of light. The rent is £817 plus bills (bills include internet and all utility bills which comes out at around £100 per head in total at the moment).
The deposit for the room is around 5 weeks rent.
The room will be free end of November / beginning of December.
About us
We are a communal house with an excellent living system in place: we buy essentials in bulks, sometimes we eat together and throw BBQ parties in the garden, where we also grow our own greenies (or at least try). We have a cleaning rota and we do all we can to take good care of communal places. All in all, we are a bunch of lovely human beings, friendly and respectful of each other spaces, looking for someone to join in our house and communal system.
About the house and accessibility info
The house is a 2 floor building with kitchen, living space, garden, garage and a small toilet on the ground floor. The 4 rooms are located as following: 2 (one of these is the one available) on the first floor with a shared bathroom and the last 2 on the second floor. Unfortunately there is currently no wheelchair system in place to access the rooms. There are 13 stairs to reach the first floor and 13 chairs to reach the second floor. The house is on a street accessible via a gate with code. Unfortunately according to contract pets are not welcome
Location The house is located in South East London, 3 minutes away from Burgess Park. A bus ride (20’) from Elephant and Castle (Bakerloo and Northern line) and Vauxhall (Victoria line) and Peckham Rye is a 20 minute walk away. On bike it's about 25 mins to get into central.
Benefits
housing benefits are accepted. You would need to join the contract and every tenant needs to go through referencing which includes a reference from a previous landlord and a job/income check. Previous housemates who were self employed or low income were asked to either provide a UK guarantor or pay rent quarterly. If this sounds good and ideal for you, send me a private message.
