Description
My beloved flatmate is sadly heading back to France, so I’m looking for someone new (ideally a woman) to share my lovely 2-bedroom flat from early/mid May.
The room is a bright, quiet double overlooking the backyard (so no street noise 🙌). It comes with a double bed, bedside table, an open wardrobe with a clothes rail and five drawers. There’s also extra storage space in the living room and hallway for bags, shoes, etc. There’s room for a desk too, and there’s already a very comfy armchair-style chair that swivels.
The flat also has a sunny balcony, which is such a nice bonus, perfect for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine when the weather’s good.
A bit about me:
I’m Aurélia (French/Greek) and I’ve been in London for almost 10 years. I’m social and outgoing, but I also really value my own space; equally happy going out as I am staying in with a book, films or music. I love anything artsy (exhibitions, dance, cinema, theatre), trying new cafés and bars (big foodie), and I have a soft spot for crime shows, trashy reality TV and indie/foreign films. That said, I’ve definitely embraced my homebody side recently and love occasionally having close friends over for dinner.
I’d love to live with someone who has a similar vibe: keen to be more than just flatmates over time, but also very respectful of each other’s space.
I work fully remote from the living room, so the setup works best with someone who is mostly office-based, with working from home being more of an occasional thing.
It’s also important to me that we both look after the space and keep things clean and tidy, while also being mindful and respectful so the flat feels like a relaxed, welcoming place for both of us.
Location-wise, it’s super well connected: Queen’s Road Peckham (Windrush line) is a 7-min walk, and Nunshead station is about the same. Nunshead itself is about 10 minutes away and has a really lovely village feel: great cafés, yoga studios, wine bars and little shops. Peckham Rye is 12–15 minutes away with loads going on: Peckhamplex cinema, amazing food spots, rooftops, live music venues and bars.
Rent is £800 pcm + bills (around £180), which includes internet and a cleaner once a month.
If it sounds like a good fit, send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself. 😊
Thanks!
