Description
I am looking for one flatmate to take the second bedroom in my (rented) bright, spacious and clean flat in SE19. It's just north of Crystal Palace and south of Dulwich (but located on the very desirable Dulwich Estate). The building itself is also very nice - Grenville Court.
I don't think my pictures fully capture size or airiness of the flat!
The flat is open plan with massive windows and a large shared living and dining area. It has a decent sized kitchen off the open-plan area, including a breakfast bar. The bedroom is well sized and benefits from built-in storage (there is more built in storage in the shared area as well).
The flat is well made and well maintained. The heating works great in the winter and the secondary glazing over the original 1950s windows mean that its cool in the summer but also holds heat pretty well when it's cooler.
The area is very nice - quiet but well connected. Buses a 2 min walk away, 10 min walk to Sydenham Hill Station, 15ish min walk to Crystal Palace station. Nearest tube is Brixton, a short bus ride or cycle away. The area is also very green - as you can see in the photos through the big windows.
The building has free off-street parking, and is set in a green landscaped area.
Bills are not included but they are not too expensive (I can calculate this properly but I think about £120ish per month each, including internet).
I am looking for someone to share the flat with until at least March 2026 (when current tenancy runs out) - but would be very happy to extend if suitable for both.
I am a 31 year old professional who works 9-5 at a London-bsaed NGO. I don't spend too much of my free time in the flat - I'm often out doing my own thing (a lot of cycling, weekend trips out of London). But I do work from home sometimes.
I am open to any kind of flatmate, as long as you're friendly, happy to share the living area together, and are respectfully clean and tidy. I am quite a social person - so it would be great to have someone I get on well with. Equally, I'm easy going and happy to respect a flatmates' peace and privacy.
The only reason I am looking to rent the spare room is due to a breakup - I was originally planning to leave the flat but I really like it here (and the landlord is a good one(!)) so I am giving this a go.
Need someone to move in around 10 September or as close to that date as reasonable. If you think this might work for you then reach out and we can arrange a viewing and get to know each other.
