I have one lovely double room up for grabs in my Crystal Palace flat. I’m looking for someone warm, kind and easy-going to take it off my hands.
The flat:
The room is a light, calm double and comes with a comfy bed, a desk (perfect for working from home - good wifi included) and a built-in closet. The rest of the flat is fully furnished.
There’s a peaceful private garden, great for reading a book or drinking your coffee. There’s additional outside storage and free on-street parking if you drive.
The neighbours are friendly and considerate.
The location:
Crystal Palace is one of those places where you feel like you’ve discovered a secret part of London no one else knows about. There’s green space - we’re right next to Crystal Palace Park - as well as amazing coffee shops, great pubs, wine bars and antique shops nearby. The flat is well connected to the Overground, rail and bus services (the nearest Overground station is a short 7 min walk away). When you need to head into other parts of town, you’re only 30 minutes (or less) from Victoria, London Bridge, Dalston, Peckham, or Brixton - so close to all the excitement, but with a relaxing place to come home to. And, if you like to travel, Gatwick Airport and Kings Cross, for the Eurostar, are in easy reach.
Who you’ll be sharing with:
You’ll be sharing with me, a friendly, sociable and tidy live-in landlady in my late 30s. I've got a great group of friends and a busy social life. I’m looking for someone similar - so if you’ve got your own stuff going on, but are happy to have a glass of wine and watch TV together from time to time, that would be perfect. And – important detail alert – there’s also a cat. She’s a bit of a character - so an appreciation for animals is a must.
The details:
Rent: £800pcm – bills not included but approx £150pcm for utilities, wifi, tv license, council tax (band C).
Move-in date: Ideally January, but flexible if needed
Initial term: 3-6 months, with potential to extend if it suits us both
