Description
Hello future flatmate! I am very excited to find someone for the room in my home!
You would be joining me (creative events producer, poet, curator and host) and my partner (actor / musician) who lives here part time (she has her own place in Bournemouth, sometimes we are both down there)
THE ROOM
Bigger than it looks in the photos! Currently part furnished with a double ottoman bed and a chest of drawers. I’m looking for a clothes rail and bedside table. It could fit a wardrobe…
We can discuss anything you would like to add or take away to make it yours :)
The window is north facing with a lovely view of the sunset / the Crystal Palace transmitter.
THE FLAT
Cozy plant filled LIVING ROOM for hanging out, eating, playing music and watching TV. It’s pretty well furnished but in open to any additions a flatmate may way to add (art, plants, funky ideas)!
Currently there is no dining table / chairs but it’s on the agenda. I recently bought the place so I’m still in the process of finding the right things for the flat.
THE KITCHEN is full functioning and stocked with all the expected things. I am open to shared cooking and ingredients if that’s your thing. I cook with meat occasionally but am largely pescatarian. No dishwasher or tumble-drier I’m afraid!
THE BATHROOM
Everything you need from a bathroom really… when there’s 3 of us in communication is encouraged for use of it in the mornings :)
I own a PARKING space which my partner sometimes uses and there is free on street parking as well. There is a shared communal GARDEN between the 9 flats in the building. Our flat is on the first floor.
ABOUT ME
I am a creative active and friendly person. Professionally I am an ex school teacher turned creative producer. I am the director of a spoken word organisation and work freelance as a booker and curator.
Socially I love to see my friends, go to the cinema, theatre and gigs and play music at my own events (turntables and vinyls in the flat so you’re welcome to bring in your own collection). I unwind my doing exercise (running, cycling, hiking) and am a keen birdwatcher so you’ll often find me wondering the local parks and woodlands! I am also a fluent Spanish speaker having spent many years living in Colombia!
ABOUT YOU
I am very much open to people from all walks of life moving in. If you’ve read the above and you’re catching a vibe and you feel like you’d be a good fit for the space, reach out and tell me about yourself.
Of course I’m looking for someone who is clean and tidy and will contribute to the house from that perspective in a collaborative way but equally importantly and someone who is friendly and kind to set that kind of energy in the flat. If this is you, send me a message!
THE AREA
We are a 5-10 minute walk from Anerly or Penge West stations and 20 minutes
from Crystal Palace and Penge East. Crystal Palace park is also a 10 minute walk. Penge high street and Anerly Road are close
By for shops and restaurants. There’s a plethora of local pubs and a great community spirit. Crystal Palace triangle is a 30 min walk!
There’s a big difference q the way Sainsbury’s and Aldi within walking distance as well as a small coop and Tesco.
BILLS will be around the £100 mark once I’ve updated who is living in the property and we split them between 3 people!
