Description

Large double, part furnished, in a spacious creative & communal home. Huge garden. Wild meadow & oak tree park either side. 10min walk from station.

Rent: £612 a month (bills not incl)
Non-refundable deposit: £143 (on the 0 Deposit scheme)
2 yr contract
12 month break-out clause (with 2 months notice which can be given at 10 months)
A tenant can leave at any point though; it would just be a 'change of sharer'. So we’re looking for someone who’d like to make a home with us for at least 6 - 12 months.

Hello future house-mate!

This rooms is in a beautiful and very large house in South London - nearest stations Norwood Junction (East London overground line and 10 min train to London Bridge) and Thornton Heath (trains to Peckham, East Dulwich, Streatham, Balham, Clapham, Victoria).

It's down a quiet residential road, opposite an old oak tree park; with a huge garden at the back with all sorts growing in it (which we plan to add to) and a large wild meadow (Whitehorse Meadow) behind the garden too. It's a win for the green-fingered nature-seeker looking to get out of the noise of the city and ride out the apocalypse in good company.

The room is on the middle floor (with the option of an additional exclusive office for a little more ££), comes with inbuilt storage, bed, desk and bookshelf. The rest of the house has a lot of space too: a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room leads onto a large garden terrace which leads to the garden. There are additional rooms for creative practice and co-working. 2 bathrooms/showers/toilets.

You'd be living with Kay, 32, a theatre-maker and environmental campaigner/activist; Lana, 36, a theatre-maker and kundalini yoga teacher, and Thomas, 35, a novelist and actor currently working in a homeless shelter.

We're co-creating an eco-conscious communal home, where we can share meals, gardening, creative interests and social activities. A place where friends can gather.

We have a video tour available and in person meetings are taking place on Sunday 4th Oct.

Good referencing is needed to be on the contract; ie either a salary, or if you're on universal income you need a guarantor with property in the UK and a salary.

Looking for someone to move in on the 1st Nov but we're flexible on the date.

Please get in touch asap with a little about yourself and your availability for a meeting.

Thanks :)
Kay
