Description

Bright west-facing room with modern furnishings in a newly renovated flat. This is a flat share with 5 other people who I've lived with for over a year - they're all lovely people: Reliable and considerate, plus happy to hang out!

The room: The room is a single room which comes with some basic furnishings: Desk, wardrobe, bed frame, mattress, drawers and a desk chair (not the one shown in the picture). Any other other furniture shown in the pictures is not included (including the second desk) - but we can discuss if you'd like to buy them from me. The room is on the first floor (one floor up) and faces west (sunshine in the afternoon ☀️ sleep in the morning 😴)

The house: The house is a 6 bedroom flat with a shared open plan kitchen/dining/living space. The communal space was recently renovated and has modern appliances including an induction stovetop, combined washer/dryer and dishwasher (among others). The backyard is fully usable and there's a small balcony on the second floor. There's 2 full bathrooms and a half bathroom - you'll be sharing one of the bathrooms with 2 other people (pictured).

The location: The house is in Loughborough Junction, literally a 2 minute walk from the Thameslink station (you can be in Central in 20 mins easily). There's also train connections at Brixton (Underground Victoria Line, 12 mins) and Denmark Hill (Overground, 10 mins). There's a 24/7 Nisa, a Coop and a small Tesco within 3 minutes walk. Ruskin Park is about 7 minutes away for recreation (great with summer coming up). The community gym is 5 mins walk and very cheap, or you can walk to Brixton.

The bills: Bills total to roughly 100 pounds extra a month. This includes electricity, gas, water, internet and council tax (Council Tax Band E). Naturally, all bills are split six ways between tenants. This amount also usually covers some communal purchases such as toilet paper, washing up liquid etc. (which you can discuss with existing tenants if needed). All communal bills are done through Tricount to keep everything fair ⚖️

Yourself: This is a flat share of 6 people - you'll need to be okay with being sociable! We don't have any set-in-stone restrictions regarding music, having friends over etc. Basic rule is: Just give the other tenants a heads-up, and be respectful that most tenants work weekdays 9-5 (some WFH too). Presumably you'll be a working professional and so you will need to pay council tax. Other than that though, we're hoping you're a nice, fun person who is considerate and easy going (all the usual stuff!)
