Description
Hi there! We have a spare double room (£1000pcm, bills included) from mid-July in a big, modern flat in South London and are looking for someone to move in with us (3 guys, 30 years old).
The room has a double bed, a cupboard, chest of drawers and some other small storage areas. There's no desk in the room itself, but there’s plenty of space to work elsewhere in the flat, including a dedicated desk in the open living space. You'll be sharing a bathroom with Dave, while the two other guys have en-suites. There is also a laundry room with another toilet, sink and washing machine and dryer, as well as space to air dry.
The main living space of the flat is flat a large open-plan living room/kitchen where we hang out quite a bit watching TV while cooking, occasionally playing games. There are also three balconies to relax/work on: one with a great view of the London skyline, another south facing which gets the sun really nicely.
We also have lots of house plants scattered around the flat and tend to keep the place quite clean and tidy (which is helped by us paying for a cleaner twice a month).
Distances:
- 15 minute walk to Kennington Station (Northern Line)
- 1 min walk from bus stops to London Bridge, Waterloo and Liverpool Street.
- 15 mins walk to Elephant and Castle (Northern, Bakerloo and National Rail)
Supermarkets:
- Tesco express 2 mins walk in a pinch
- Morrisons (large) 5-10 mins walk
- Sainsbury's (medium) 15 mins walk
Burgess Park is also nearby and great for some sport or a nice walk.
A bit about us:
Dave works in public affairs, plays football a couple of times a week (we often need players) as well as occasional tennis/table tennis in Burgess Park. Always up for a bit of a language or cultural exchange.
Pat is a football coach and comms manager a football club and its charitable foundation, loves watching pretty much any sport, enjoys a pint, and is a plant lover who has transformed one of our balconies into a lovely garden patio.
Kieran is a trader in Canary Wharf, big Liverpool fan (goes to quite a few games), plays padel when his ankles hold up, and is a big fan of watching cricket (unfortunately an India fan)
We tend to do a mix of things together – pub quizzes most Sundays, the occasional card game night or tennis game – but of course also have our own lives. We’re hoping to find someone who’d be happy joining in now and then but also comfortable doing their own thing.
If this sounds like it could suit you, drop us a message with a bit about yourself and how you think you'd fit in!
