We have a double rooms available in our light, warm, spacious and lovely home that was recently renovated. There is a large open plan lounge and kitchen which is ideal for socialising and cooking, 2 bathrooms (one has a bath as well as a shower) and 4 bedrooms.
The flat is located in a stunning grade II converted monastery opposite an amazing park (Myatts fields) that has 2 free tennis courts. The area is tranquil and relaxing whilst being centrally located in Zone 2
The flat has a modern and clean design with wooden floors throughout and large windows. There is a large TV, two fridge freezers, a dishwasher, oven, microwave and a washer/dryer. There is also a double bike rack in the flat and space for bikes in the building. The building also has a roof top terrace with great views of London.
CURRENT FLATMATES
Lewis - male, 30 British and is a scientist Kings Hospital
Sophie - female, 28, British and works in the Ambulance service
Lorna - female, 29, Irish and works as a nurse at Kings Hospital
The atmosphere in the flat is very laid back and the ideal flat mate would be someone who would like to live with other interesting people and who is looking for a home and not just a room. There is a TV but we are not looking for a flat mate who watches a lot of TV as it can be anti-social.
THE ROOM
Light and spacious rooms with a double bed with lots of storage underneath, a new 2 door wardrobe, chest of drawers, a radiator, a lamp and a large mirror and desk.
LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION
The flat is in Zone 2, and is walking distance form Oval tube station (10 to 12 minutes) which is on the Northern Line, Brixton (20 minutes) and Loughborough Junction for trains to Farringdon and Black Friars (15 minute walk). Local buses towards Oval, Vauxhall, Victoria and central London are 4 minute walk away. If you work at Kings Hospital you will be able to walk there in 10 to 15 minutes.
BILLS
Bills are £130 per month and include TV licence, wifi, council tax (band F), water and electricity. All bills are fixed except for electricity and £70 of the £130 is for electricity and the cost is estimated
GENERAL INFORMATION
1) There are many pubs, bars and restaurants in Camberwell (10 minutes walk) and Brixton as well as at Oval station. Oval is also on the night tube line.
2) There is a roof top terrace in the building which as great views of London
3) Good community in building with a what's app group and donation area for unwanted goods eg books and furniture
4) Coffee shop in park opposite flat and there are farmers markets usually
5) Gyms - there is a Pure Gym at Oval station (12 minutes walk) and also in Camberwell. There are also numerous gyms such as Fitness First in Brixton which is a short cycle away.
6) There is a porter who collects parcels during the day and on Saturdays.
7) Walking distance to Kings Hospital
8) Supermarkets - Tesco express and The Spar are very close. There is also a large Morrisons in Camberwell and Tesco in Brixton. There is also a Turkish supermarket close.
